I thank the miracle that led me to You. (Haruka/Kanade)

Chapter 4 - I'll find a way to get you back, I Promise

Haruka and I have been living together for around five or so months, she's been helping me through some hard times lately. We found her hat around a month ago and I've been trying to look for ways to get her back to her world, so far I've only found little kid books..

"Hey, Haruka?" I looked around the house for her, but I couldn't find her anywhere, I went to my room and saw her messing with her hat, she looked up at me and tilted her head, "Do you need something?"

"Do you remember what your world was called?" I asked while leaning against the door a little bit and she started to stand up slowly,

Haruka thought for a little bit, "My world is named Sihr. Why do you ask?" she looked a little puzzled "If I can find out your world's name, I might figure out a way to get you back." Haruka heard those words and went over to me in excitement "Really?" she smiled at me so sweetly that I didn't wanna bring her down, "Hopefully, I'm gonna go to the library, would you like to come with me?" she looked happy that I had said that, she nodded her head.

"Are you ready to go?" I asked while slipping on my shoes, Haruka walked out in some clothes I don't wear anymore, mainly because their her favorite ones. "Yup, let's go." her and I stepped out the door, the sun was really bright so it hurt my eyes a little bit. We walked to town looking for the library, it took around 5-7 minutes to get there. "Okay, don't stray far from me. Also, please don't talk to anybody." Haruka nodded her head with a sweet smile. I walked over to the fantasy section, I searched around for the "S section.... S is the 19th letter so... around here.."

 I could feel myself mutter a little, there it is! Sihr, top shelf. I was about to grab it when somebody reached for it too. "Oh, sorry. Were you going to grab this one-" I couldn't believe my eyes, it was... Ena?

Ena looked surprised to see me, I could've sworn I felt my heart skip a beat when I saw her. 

"Kanade? Is that.. you?" Ena said while reaching her hand out to me, I felt somebody shake my shoulder. "Excuse me. Is this girl your friend? She was bothering others by asking for somebody named Kanade." the librarian had shaken my shoulder with Haruka next to her, Haruka looked a little embarrassed that she had gotten lost. "Yes, I'm sorry on her behalf, I'll keep a better eye on her in the future." the librarian walked away, I could feel Haruka feeling a little sad for making such a ruckus. "Where did you go even?" I asked while Haruka fidgeted with her hands a little, "I went over to look for books to help you, but I couldn't find any. Sorry.." she looked kind of sad and embarrassed at the same time.

 I forgot that Ena was right behind me, "Oh, s-sorry... Ena. It's been a while, hasn't it?" I could feel the embarrassment throughout my whole body.. "Yeah, it has."

"Whose that?" Ena asked, pointing at Haruka. "Oh this is Haruka." she waved at Ena a little bit "Nice to meet you Haruka. Kanade, how've you been?" Ena looked a little worried and had a depressed look on her face when she said that, "Uh.. I've been good lately. How about you?" Ena looked a little happy that I had said that, I haven't talked to either Ena or Mizuki ever since two years ago. "I've been good." Ena looked like she was faking while saying that. "Have you and Mizuki kept in touch?" she looked surprised that I had asked that, "Yeah, we've kept in touch. I try to help them through hard times and they help me with hardships as well." Ena smiled while saying that, Mizuki and Ena were really good friends. "Well, I'll see you around Kanade." Ena waved and walked away, I nearly forgot that I needed the book at the top shelf. I grabbed the book and skimmed it a little bit. "Okay, Haruka. I might be able to find a way to get you home." Harukas' eyes brightened when she heard that, I walked over to the desk where the librarian was scrolling on her laptop. 

"Excuse me, Ma'am? May I buy this book?" I put the book on her desk, she scanned it and then told me it was 2000 yen($13.13 us dollars). I searched my pockets and found 5000 yen($32.83 us dollars) I handed the lady the money and she gave me the book and my change back, Haruka and I started to walk out the door when her hand brushed my hand a little... It shook me a little bit, but I also felt myself blush a little. Haruka and I walked until we reached my house, we took off our shoes and went our separate ways for a little while. I decided to study the book a little bit to see if I could find anything about Sihr.
