Chapter 2 - Blending in might be harder than it Seems

Haruka looked like she was about to fall asleep, "If you want to go to bed, you can you know." she looked like she was moments from drifting off, but she tried to speak even then "No.. I don't wanna leave you alone, we made a promise..." Haruka's eyes then shut tight, 

I still can't believe this is actually real... Wait, is she sleeping with her outfit on? Is that normal for the people in her world? I haven't finished the show yet, so it might be. I checked the time, 26:00(2:00 AM), I should probably go to sleep soon. I glanced over at Haruka, she seemed almost doll-like when she was sleeping, I walked over to my bed and sat down, I yawned and rubbed my eyes a little. "Goodnight, Haruka." I whispered to myself while I was getting ready to go to bed, wait, what is Haruka going to sleep on!? I looked down at her and she was sleeping on the hard wooden floor.... I feel bad.... I shook Haruka a little to attempt to wake her up, "Mmm...?" Haruka said while rubbing her eyes awake,

"Do you wanna sleep on my bed or the ground?" I said while she was still trying to sit up, "Uh, what? Could you say that again I didn't hear you.." Haruka blinked her eyes a little bit, "Would you like to sleep on my bed or on the couch?" she finally understood what I said and she thought a little bit about her answer, "I'm fine with whichever, as long as I'm not a bother to you." She smiled halfway then yawned, we can't both sleep on the same bed that would be a hassle... "I can sleep on the ground if you want, I'm fine with it." I told her but she looked like she didn't want to take my bed. "Okay, if you want we can both sleep on my bed." She looked a little surprised that I had asked her that, "Sure, if it's fine with you, I'm fine with it too." Haruka said while getting up, "Do you wanna sleep against the wall or against the door?" Haruka said that she wanted to sleep against the wall because she likes cold places. We both got onto my bed and we were a good distance apart and Haruka soon drifted off,  I shut my eyes a little bit after. It was... the same dream as last night. "Okay, so the castle again." I started walking a little bit and then we I reached the same area as last time the world started shaking again, I woke up soon after that to smell something.... burning?!

I rushed out of my bedroom to see Haruka trying to, cook something? There was smoke almost everywhere.... "Haruka! cough We need to get rid of the smoke, open a window fast!" She looked at me confused but then she saw me opening a window and then she knew what to do.

A couple minutes later

"Okay, we have all the smoke out of the house, I think.." I glanced over at Haruka for a split second, then she darted her head left and right. "Yeah, it's all gone I'm pretty sure!" Haruka said with a tired happy face, ? "What happened to your hat?" Haruka looked a little surprised I asked her that "Well, its over here-" she pointed and looked at the empty countertop between the kitchen and sink. "B-b...but it was right over here!" Haruka walked fastly over to the counter Haruka looked a little distressed, "Hey, it's okay, we'll find your hat. It might've gone outside." She looked back at me a little teary eyed but still looked happy that I said that, Haruka almost ran out of the house but luckily I caught her before that. "What are you doing? You can't go out dressed like, well, like a witch! People will think you're crazy!" She looked kind of offended that I said that but then she turned around to face me,

"Then, how should I dress?" Haruka looked at her clothes and looked back at me, "Just, pick something out from my closet." I pointed over to my room and she looked a little confused "What is a 'closet'? Is it something like a wardrobe?" I looked at her in confusion... aren't those two the same thing? "Uh, yeah it is." I didn't feel like explaining things to her right now, she opened my bedroom door and shut it tight.

she walked out in one of my gray shirts and some shorts, "Are you sure these are wearable? They seem a little odd to me, I mean, where are all the colors?" She looked a little shocked at the fact that I don't have many clothes with color in them, "I've never really liked color, I mean I like colors but I don't like to stand out." I said to her and she seemed to understand not wanting to stand out, "Okay, can we go look for my hat now?" Haruka said impatiently, "Yeah, let's go look, just please don't try to cast any spells or whatever else you do." Haruka nodded her head like she was a soldier and walked behind me out the door. "Ugh, so bright for no reason" I was covering my eyes when I saw Haruka in awe at the world before her, I don't blame her, I'd be amazed at a world I didn't know too.
