IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT, a young Yuki Todoroki sat huddled in the corner of her bedroom, her knees pulled tightly to her chest. The dim glow of the moon filtered through the frost-covered window, casting long, eerie shadows across the room.
The cold air hung thick, matching the tension that always seemed to loom over the Todoroki household.
Outside her door, muffled shouts and the sound of footsteps echoed through the halls.
It was a familiar soundtrack to Yuki━ one that filled her with an unsettling mix of fear and dread.
Her father, Enji Todoroki-Endeavor, the Number Two Hero-was yelling again.
His voice, powerful and commanding, tore through the walls as he berated her mother. His obsession with rising to the top of the hero rankings had consumed him, pushing him beyond the boundaries of love or tenderness.

Yuki nodded, her throat too tight to speak.
