IN NO TIME, THE STUDENTS WERE OUTSIDE IN U.A'S TRAINING FIELD, all dressed in their gym uniforms. Yuki felt the breeze against her skin, and though she appeared calm, her mind raced. She had never been in such an open competition with others before. At home, power had been a private matter, something measured against her siblings or in secret confrontations with her father's cold expectations. But here, out in the open, she would be tested alongside the brightest and strongest of her generation.

The others around her whispered nervously. Yuki caught snippets of conversations-students wondering what kind of tests they would face. But Aizawa wasn't one for wasting time on nerves.

"Bakugou, you placed first in the practical exam, correct?" Aizawa called out, his voice cutting through the buzz.

"Yeah," Bakugou responded confidently, hands in his pockets as if the entire situation was beneath him.

Aizawa tossed him a ball. "Throw this using your Quirk. Do it from inside the circle."

Bakugou grinned, already fueled by the chance to show off.

"Ha, easy." He cocked his arm back, eyes gleaming with anticipation. His right hand exploded with a burst of his Quirk-fiery blasts of energy propelling the ball forward.

"DIE!" Bakugou shouted as the ball shot through the sky.

The screen Aizawa held displayed the result: 705.2 meters.

The class erupted in a mixture of gasps and murmurs, most of them impressed by the explosive display of power.

"A Quirk assessment on the first day... they're really not holding back," Yuki muttered quietly to herself, her gaze following the ball as it disappeared into the distance. Shoto stood silently next to her, completely unfazed.

"This is what it means to become a hero," Aizawa said dryly, his eyes scanning the class. "You're going to push your Quirks to the limit here. Heroes aren't made by leisurely strolling through life. If you want to survive in this world, you'll have to show what you're made of."

Yuki swallowed. She had expected this-tests, competition, challenges. But she couldn't shake the feeling of eyes on her, expectations weighing her down. Even though her classmates were focused on the task at hand, the Todoroki name would always cast a long shadow.

"Also," Aizawa added, his voice sharp, "whichever one of you comes in last... will be expelled."

The class went deathly silent.

Yuki felt a rush of unease among her peers. Expulsion on the first day? It wasn't something any of them had considered. But there was no time to reflect on it. The tests had already begun.

The Quirk assessments ranged from sprinting to strength tests, all designed to push each student's abilities to their limits. Yuki kept her focus as her turn for the ball throw approached.
