THE DAY HAD BEGUN LIKE ANY OTHER AT U.A HIGH, but Yuki Todoroki sensed the growing tension in the air, fueled by the news that All Might had officially joined the school's faculty. The press had swarmed the gates of the academy, eager to uncover more about the world's number-one hero's involvement with U.A. She watched them from a distance, remaining composed, her icy demeanor shielding her thoughts. Unlike most of her classmates, who idolized All Might, Yuki admired him purely for his power-nothing more, nothing less.

Inside the classroom, homeroom teacher Shota Aizawa lay lazily in his yellow sleeping bag, his usual sleepy expression betraying no emotion. He announced that Class 1-A would need to elect a representative, causing a ripple of excitement through the students. Nearly everyone jumped at the chance, raising their hands and boasting about why they should be chosen. Yuki leaned back in her chair, uninterested. Being class representative wasn't part of her plan-it was just a distraction from her true goal: becoming a hero powerful enough to stand on her own terms. Plus, the social burden and additional responsibility to do so would just be too much for her to handle.

As the noise escalated, Tenya Iida, the ever responsible student, proposed a more formal voting system. His suggestion gained traction, and soon everyone was casting their ballots. Yuki silently cast her vote without much thought. The results were surprising: Izuku Midoriya, who had looked more startled than anyone, was voted as class representative, while Momo Yaoyorozu became his deputy. Yuki glanced briefly at Midoriya, noting the uncertainty in his eyes. He was nervous, unsure if he could fill such a role. She wondered if he even wanted the position.

Later in the day, during lunch, Yuki found herself seated near her classmates in the bustling mess hall. While Izuku, Ochaco Uraraka, and Tenya Iida discussed the recent election, Yuki and Shoto remained largely silent, focusing on their meals occasionally sparing eachother glances as if telepathically expressing their opinions. She wasn't particularly interested in the conversation, though she caught bits and pieces of Iida's background and his family's prestigious hero lineage. Yuki's mind was elsewhere, reflecting on her own upbringing she shared brother. She had no desire to share her family's story, especially with people she barely knew and so she just decided to plaster a polite smile whenever Uraraka had tried approaching her with anything in relation to their families.

Suddenly, the school's alarms blared, jolting everyone from their seats. The entire mess hall erupted into chaos as students began rushing for the exits, panicked by the idea of an intruder. Yuki stood calmly amidst the commotion, her icy blue eyes scanning the room with detached curiosity. She hadn't sensed any real threat. From what she had seen earlier, the likely culprits were the reporters trying to sneak into the school. The alarm was overkill.
