We begin this chapter with Y/n and Andersen as the two were now on their own as they walked the streets of the Ark with a specific destination in mind

Andersen: "While we await the repairs, we'll get you situated in your new home. Now, unfortunately, with your blood transfusion chair being a matter in this equation, we cannot simply set you up in any simple house within the ark. The power required for it can be taxing on the Ark's already delicate power system and finite supplies. But there is one place where we can set you up until we can supply it with enough with the required power. A place with it's own grid that isn't being used as much"

The two reached an elevator that they both entered and Andersen pressed a button that simply read "Outpost" and it started to move

Eventually, the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened to reveal a much more desolate location within the Ark's territory on the surface. The buildings fallen to decay and disrepair while others were simply abandoned before they could be finished

Andersen: "Welcome to the Outpost, a location that acts as a place to resupply for those who are going from mission to mission

Andersen: "Welcome to the Outpost, a location that acts as a place to resupply for those who are going from mission to mission. It's also a place that few wish to be stationed at with the attacks from Raptures being a constant threat"

The two continued walking through the nearly abandoned streets. It was almost completely void of any human life, but Nikkes were seen walking some of the streets in squads with their weapons at the ready should an attack commence. The occasional human commander could be seen ordering their Nikkes as they prepared for missions, but would stop when they took notice of the two new arrivals and salute

Andersen: "But, it's also out of the Central Government's surveillance and they have less power here. With it being on the surface, it requires a separate source of power from an on-site power station. Although this all comes with setbacks, such as luxuries among the likes of running hot water and other goods. Being stationed here is seen among the commanders and Nikkes as a form of punishment due to these circumstances"

They soon came to a stop in front of one particular building that was in the best condition of them all, this looked to be a command center of sorts
