Part 5: Ascending the Tower (Missilis)

(Changes will be made in regards to the Abnormal units fitting in the story, more will be explained at the bottom of the chapter. Also, apologies for the court scene, I sat there for like, two days trying to figure something out and this was the best I could think of)

No POV 

We begin this chapter where we last left off, with Y/n standing within the courtroom of the ARK and standing before the Deputy Chiefs, and the woman named as Enikk

Enikk: "Greetings, Y/n Heat" 

Y/n remained silent and stared at Enikk who didn't seem unnerved with his direct eye contact 

Enikk: "You are permitted to give non-verbal answers to some questions I will ask. I will state whether they require a verbal input, is this understood?" 

Y/n nodded his head while Enikk looked towards a tablet that had her file on Y/n

Enikk: "Very well. First question: Do you remember what happened 100 years ago? Verbal is not required" 

Y/n nodded his head again while the deputy chiefs who were not aware of his situation looked confused, something that Enikk noticed straight away

 Enikk: "Good, for those unaware, Y/n Heat here was a member of  the Goddess Squad and El-Alcagnel and fought in the Rapture Invasion over one hundred years ago. Some of you may recognize him by the name Beyond the Grave. The sacrifices he and his teammates made allowed us to take shelter in the Ark when we lost the surface to the raptures" 

Above her, several screens appeared as they showed videos of Y/n on the surface from over a hundred years ago, fighting raptures on his own with vicious brutality. This caused the room to break out into surprised gasps and murmurs while Y/n paid not attention to the stares he got from everyone before Enikk spoke up 

Enikk: "Now, onto the reason you are here. Exactly two hours ago, you were the sole instigator to a firefight within the Outer Rim between you and Heavenly Ascension, the terrorist organization and the suspected member known as "Crow", resulting in 84 deaths, 13 million credits in property damage, and the capture of Crow, were you not? Verbal is not required" 

Y/n nods his head before Enikk continues 

Enikk: "Thank you. The reason behind this behind this attack is unclear and will require further investigation. The sentence for a crime this severe is 20 years in the Rehabilitation center. However, due to the results of this operation dealing a blow to Heavenly Ascension and with no civilian casualties, you will be granted a pardon from any and all charges under the condition that you work for the Central Government as a commander, is that understood? Verbal is required" 

Y/n: "...Understood"

Enikk: "Then it is settled. Y/n Heat is to be granted the status of Commander and to learn the laws of the Ark to prevent a scenario like this from ever happening again. Any objections?" 

Looking around the room, the other chiefs dared not speak up while the screens disappeared and Enikk nodded her head 

Enikk: "Commander Y/n, you may leave first. But before you go, know that we all thank you for your service, The Inhabitants of the Ark owe you their lives" 

Y/n nodded again before he left the stand and walked out of the silent room. Once outside, he was met with the sight of Triangle who were standing guard over his weapons. The three saluted him, clearly nervous and trying to show him respect for his history

Privaty: "Commander, it's an honor to meet you!"  

Y/n tilted his head to the side, confused as to how they knew he was a commander already. The next to speak up was Yulha who gestured to a screen
