While MK hammered the wall, Mei sat meditating with Macaque.

MK didn't understand why he was left to work almost like a slave while Mei received nice and comfortable training.

The only time Macaque had helped him was when they fought Red Son at the Weather Station, after which he started making him do simple tasks like fetching noodles.

He was sure he kept him just because he could lift the staff.

MK: "You know, when I found out I was going to be trained by the Monkey Warrior, Lord of the Shadow and Darkness, I had no idea that I'd be stuck here hammering walls 12 hours a day!"

When MK threw the hammer aside, he started jumping in anger. This frightened Mei, who was meditating.

MK: "Why am I doing this again?!"

While Mei looked at her mentor approvingly, Macaque tried to find an excuse.

Macaque: "Oh, so I can make a nice little breakfast nook. Get some light up in here."

MK: "But I'm meant to be Monkie Kid. Not Construction Boy. How am I supposed to do the hero stuff if I don't know the fighting stuff?"

Mei nodded in agreement.

Mei: "MK is right. Why doesn't he meditate with me?"

As Macaque looked around to find an excuse, he saw the Golden Staff next to him and smiled. Then he took the wand and spun it around, looking at the boy with his golden eyes and grinning slyly.

Macaque: "Oh? So you want to know the "fighting stuff", huh? Like this?"

Macaque's eyes glow purple. He then throws his wand, MK dodges at the last moment and the wand blows a hole in the mural.

MK: “Huh?”

Mei: "Woah."

MK and Mei look at the hole in admiration, then MK comes to his mentor with his eyes shining and on his knees.

MK: "Yes, exactly like that. I'm ready for some awesomeness now."

While Mei stood up, nod, Macaque began to laugh mockingly and turned the staff in his hand, turning his back to his students.

Macaque: "Look MK. You can't rush this stuff. You'll get there. You just need to practice."

MK: "But this isn't not practice."

While Mei watches them silently, Macaque rubs his forehead in anger and turns back to his student.

Macaque: “I'n never going to teach you something you don't need to know, okay?”

While MK looked at the ground in disappointment, Mei felt sorry for her friend but remained silent. Macaque sighs at this and then takes a step back, smiling again.

Macaque: "Okay. Now, this priceless, ancient mural is not going to destroy itself. So remember: Step into the strike. And Mei, we will-"

Suddenly MK's phone rings. It was a call from Mr. Tang. Mei and her friend took a break from their mentor and answered the phone.

But Macaque could still hear what was happening.

Tang: "Guys, we really need your help."

MK and Mei smiled excitedly as Mr. Tang showed them a monster with blue colors and a scratch on its left eye.

Mei: "A monster attacking the city? That is so teririble and exciting!"

MK hangs up the phone and then turns to Macaque. But Macaque was serious.
