Prithviraj was sitting and staring blankly at the laptop's screen, checking the door of his cabin often, cursing his mind at the same time for behaving like that.

Hearing a knock, he said,"come in,"while checking an email.

"Why did you reject my resignation?"was Jheelam's first question, the moment she barged into the cabin.

"Miss.Bhardwaj you have signed a consent document in which it's clearly mentioned that you cannot quit before three months, unless I want you to. And I won't let you quit, hence, your resignation has been disapproved. I thought you could read well.  It was clearly stated in the email which has been sent to you,"he replied while typing something.

Jheelam stared at him before huffing and turned around to leave when he said,"why were you quitting by the way?"

"Seriously?"she asked while turning towards him again and added,"you really didn't understand? I thought you could read well too. I had clearly stated my reason in the resignation email."

"My behaviour? My bad! Can't help it. You have to bear with it for three months,"he said in an unceremonious tone.

"This! This tone of yours. This attitude of yours gets on my nerves,"she said and he looked at her finally, while saying,"that's your problem. You were the one who applied for the job. It's your duty to work according to the expectations and preferences of your boss."

"And does that allow the boss to behave as he pleases?"

Prithvi leaned back on his seat, semi-rotating it a bit, while staring at her, and saying,"as I said, Miss.Bhardwaj, that's how I am. And I am very sorry for not being sorry. I can't and I won't change myself for anybody ever. You're just an assistant who is supposed to work for me. I am not supposed to work according to your preferences. Anyways, I know that yesterday I had said more than I should have, and I would like to convey my apology for the purpose."

Jheelam raised a brow and said while crossing her arms,"by your tone, SIR, it feels like you're doing some sort of charity by seeking forgiveness from me."

"Who said I am seeking forgiveness? I just did a formality since I am not a savage like you."

"Yah yah! You're a highly sophisticated man who misbehaves in a sophisticated manner. Right?"

"You're taking a dig on me for misbehaving haan? What are you? Don't you misbehave with me any given moment? Khudka ghar kaanch ka ho na toh dusron ke aangan mein nahi jhaakna chahiye. Samjhi?"

"Well, yeh kahawat toh aap par zyaada acche se apply hota hain, Sir. Anyways, I don't have time to waste. Aap se baat karna equals to time waste. What work do I have today?"

"About that, postpone and reschedule all the meetings that I was supposed to have on the two days that we would be in Nilgiris. Then make a fresh list of the workers we have at the tea estates, and their salaries. We will give them a ten percent hike. Get that list ready, and before that...fetch me a cup of coffee,"he said, getting back to his work and she passed him a look and took the tab which he had shoved forward on the table, for her.
