Alfie's PoV;
I sat in the taxi on the way back from the airport and smiled as I received her cute text,
Zoe:
'I miss you, I'm so third wheeling at this picnic;( can't wait to see you tomorrow <3'
I smirked to myself as I went over the plan in my head. Marcus had organised Niomi a birthday picnic and it would be Janya, Narcus and Zalfie but I couldn't make it so it was just Zoe. She thinks that I'm still in America for my book tour, but I told her that I was coming home tomorrow instead of today so that I can surprise her at the picnic.
Alfie:
'I miss you too:( I'm there in spirit! I can't wait either<3'
I replied to her and locked my phone. Only 45 more minutes in the Taxi and I'll get to see my little one again.

I paid and thanked the driver and walked down the pathway until I spotted them all underneath a tree, Zoe wasn't under it and had her back turned towards the rest of the park. I carried on walking and decided to quickly text Marcus to warn him and tell him not to look at me when I walk over to her...I mean, them.
Alfie:
'Coming behind her now, don't look at me bro;)'
He quickly replied,
Marcus:
'Course mate, AH!'
I chuckled and started to walk towards them and behind Zoe, I just hoped that she wouldn't turn around now.
The closer I got, the more the rest of their faces brightened and they were all grinning. I came up about a metre away and I smirked at them all, I mouthed 'happy birthday Niomi' to her even though her birthday was yesterday and I said it then.
I counted down on my fingers from three and Zoe still had no clue.
I grabbed her shoulders and kissed her cheek, "AH!" She screamed.
"OH MY GOD, ALFIEEEE" she stood up and hugged me tight, it felt so incredibly good to have her in my arms once again.
"I've missed you so much" she whispered, her voice muffled.
"I bet I've missed you more" I laughed. She planted her lips on mine and gave me a quick but passionate kiss. She then let out a breath and sat back down but gripping onto my hand still as I plonked my bum down next to hers.
"Hey guys! Happy birthday Niomi" I grinned.
"You little sneak" Zoe squinted her eyes at me and I pulled her onto my lap and kissed her head.
"Wait, did you guys know?" Zoe giggled, they all nodded their heads and smirked at us.
"You two are so cute" Tanya awed as Jim slid his arm around her waist.
She fell back in his grasp and cuddled into his shoulder.
"Is it okay if I have a sand which? I'm so hungry!" I questioned.
"Of course Alfie!, go for it!" Niomi smiled.
"Thanks" I spoke as I tucked into an egg and mayo sandwich.
"Your the best at surprises" Zoe whispered to me as she leant up and kissed my lips.
"I love you" I murmured.
"I love you too" she whispered back.
