The boy who are wearing blue overalls, blinked his big blue eyes and easily spotted where Soren was hiding.

He had a round, chubby face, and in the moonlight, his wide eyes looked even bluer, with soft, rounded features that made him look quite innocent.

The boy carefully crouched down and speaking in a soft voice, "Little kitty, don't be scared. Clark has chased the boar away."

Soren hesitated and took a step back.

He suddenly realized that the little boy was speaking in the Old Earth's common language—English.

As someone obsessed with Old Earth culture, Soren had, of course, mastered this relatively simple language.

But the problem was, aside from a few nostalgic New Earth people like him, who else in the universe, especially a child, would speak Old Earth language?

"Little kitty, where are your mom and dad? You should go find them. The forest is dangerous at night," the boy said while lying down on the ground and patiently trying to communicate with Soren.

...Great, he was a chatterbox too.

Seeing that Soren wasn't moving, the boy blinked again, "Kitty? Do you not have a home?"

No, I do have a home!

Soren frantically argued in his head.

His home was very huge!

He lived in a palace in the center of New Earth!

And in that palace, there was a room full of his collection of vintage comics, action figures, and all kinds of merch.

Oh, how he wished he could go back right now, hug his treasures, and then stay at home for weeks, doing nothing.

Soren, a superhero fanboy, comic geek, and full-time nerd, was also the second in line to the throne of the New Earth Empire and the supreme commander of the M52 Legion's Outer Star Base.

He didn't have big ambitions.

His greatest passion in life was following every comic series he could.

He still remembered everything that happened right before he entered the wormhole.

It was his twelfth birthday, and he was spending it at the Perseus Outer Star Defense Base.

It was rare to have something as luxurious as pudding at the resource-scarce base, but that day, he got birthday pudding.

Even better, the latest issue of his favorite comic series had been updated.

His longtime friend, Lambard Calowise, had smiled and stretched out his hand, opening his palm in front of Soren.

—Inside lay a small, square-shaped, multi-sided electronic device with a round screen in the center.

It was the rarest of rare collectibles, something Soren had been dreaming of for years.

He had searched every antique auction for it but never found it—an original Digimon Digivice from Old Earth, a first-edition collector's item.

Lambard smiled and said, "Happy birthday, Your Highness. This is for you."

Soren was overjoyed, so much so that he vowed to be Lambard's biggest fan for life.

He thought that day was the best day of his life.

But that day also marked a turning point.

The Zerg invaded the Damaris Line, and the first line of defense against the Zerg was completely destroyed.

Soren handed over the command of the legion to Lambard and boarded a spaceship equipped with a gravity field generator.

The gravity field generator changed the mass of the gravitational field, forcing the wormhole to close.

The Zerg Queen could no longer pass through the wormhole into the galaxy.

But the collapse of the wormhole caused a planet-sized explosion—

Then everything went dark.

When he woke up...

He found himself turned into a cat.

Soren stared blankly as these memories flooded back.

To the little boy in front of him, the small cat just bared its teeth for a moment and raised its thin white tail.

The boy smiled sweetly, "You're so cute. Clark will take you home."

Soren's mind was in chaos as he carefully studied the human child before him.

The most important thing right now was figuring out where he was.

Maybe following this boy "home" would be a good first step.

The environment of this planet looked so much like Old Earth.

When Soren looked up and saw the moon and stars in the night sky, he already had a guess.

It would be extremely hard to perfectly replicate the exact position of every star in the sky.

This sky looked identical to the one he'd seen on Old Earth.

It was hard to imagine two different planets sharing the same sky.

Maybe, during that explosion, his consciousness was thrown into a space-time singularity and brought him back to Old Earth.

Soren walked out of the grass.

Although he wasn't fully used to his new body yet, he still tried to put his small paw on the boy's hand.

When the boy saw the little cat come out, he was overjoyed!

He immediately scooped Soren up and held him close to his chest, exclaiming, "Clark will take the kitty home!"

Oh no, oh no, oh no!

The boy's arms looked chubby and soft, but the way he squeezed Soren was like being crushed by steel.

Soren was nearly suffocated by the kid's iron grip.

This is definitely not an ordinary child!

Soren thought, silently while crying inside.

By the time the boy brought him to his warm, cozy home, Soren was a barely-breathing kitten.

As soon as the boy loosened his arms, Soren jumped out of his grasp and flopped onto the floor, trying to catch his breath.

Soren lifted his little cat head and carefully observing every detail of the house.

Floral curtains, a woven rug, a corduroy sofa, a small wooden table—it all seemed like a time period between the 20th and 21st centuries.

A woman with a ponytail walked over.

To Soren, she looked like a towering giant.

But of course, right now, everyone seemed like a giant to him.

The woman wore a cozy cardigan and had a warm smile.

She crouched down and said, "Oh, Clark, my little troublemaker, you're covered in mud and grass—oh, where did this little kitty come from?"

She noticed the small, frail white kitten in Clark's arms.
