( sorry for taking a break guys, i was feeling super demotivated. I hope you all understand.. )

Mia's Pov :

Mia ran home as quickly as she could; after all, her favorite aunt was waiting for her. Reaching the door, she called out, "Aunty Niki! Aunty Niki!"

"I'm here!" Niki replied, her voice bright and welcoming.

Mia burst into the living room, her heart racing. "Aunty, what a pleasant surprise you've given me!" she exclaimed, tears of joy filling her eyes.

Niki enveloped her in a warm hug. "I've missed you so much, my darling. I couldn't wait to see you!"

As they pulled apart, Mia noticed the spark in her aunt's eyes-a mix of excitement and something else she couldn't quite place. "What are you doing here today?" Mia asked Aunt Niki, noticing her tense expression.

"Mia, I'm here to discuss something with your mom," Niki replied, looking stressed.

"Is everything okay, Aunty?" Mia asked, glancing between her mom and Niki with concern.

"Yes, honey, it's not a big deal," her mom reassured her.

"Why don't you go to your room and get freshened up? Your aunt and I will prepare something yummy for you in the meantime," her mom suggested.

Mia felt a twinge of unease. *Why does it feel like Mom is trying to push me away? I hope everything is okay,* she thought as she walked upstairs.

In her room, she changed out of her school clothes, but her mind was still racing. thoughts darting between her aunt's visit and Noah. She couldn't shake the memory of the kiss they had shared. *Should I call him?* Mia wondered. *Would it be too soon?*

Just then, her phone rang. It was Noah. Her heart raced as she quickly answered the call. "Hello! Noah?"

"Mia, is everything okay? You suddenly left in a hurry," he said, concern evident in his voice.

"Yes, Noah. Actually, my aunt came unexpectedly, and when my mom called me while I was with you, I was shocked and just left," Mia explained, feeling a flutter of nerves.

"Got it. I was just worried," he replied, his tone softening.

*Is he mad at me?* Mia thought, anxiety creeping in. She didn't want to ruin what had just begun between them.

"Are you sure everything's alright?" he asked, sensing her hesitation.

"Yeah, it's just... a lot going on," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he offered.

Mia paused, considering. She liked the idea of confiding in him but wasn't sure how much to share. "Maybe later? I just need some time to sort things out."

"Okay, just know I'm here for you," Noah said, and Mia could hear the sincerity in his voice.

"Thanks, Noah. That means a lot," she replied, feeling a rush of warmth.

After they hung up, Mia took a deep breath, trying to calm her swirling thoughts. She felt reassured by Noah's support but couldn't shake the feeling that something important was happening in her life-something she needed to understand before it was too late.

• A few hours later

Mia heard her mom and Aunt Niki yelling at each other. *What's going on?* she thought, her heart pounding.

"She needs to come with me, why don't you understand?" Aunt Niki insisted.

"Mum, Aunty? What's all this?" Mia asked, fear creeping into her voice.

"Mia, sweetie, there's something we've kept hidden from you," Aunt Niki said, her expression a mix of sadness and guilt.

"Niki, no!" Mia's mom warned, her eyes were wide with panic.

"She needs to know about this, sis. You can't keep it hidden from her forever," Aunt Niki yelled, her voice rising.

"Guys! Please tell me what's going on here. I'm scared," Mia pleaded, her stomach twisting in knots.

"Your life is in danger, Mia," Aunt Niki said, her voice steady but urgent.
