Loopers part 1

Chapter 3

When she arrived to the restaurant, she already hears people looting above, however she also hears a chest beneath her. She takes the risk and sneaks through the cafeteria filled with blue chairs and blue tables and then the kitchen to the basement, avoiding knocking over any equipment or pots. She still continues to go down to the basement then finally finding the chest, but as she was getting close to it, she knocks over old cargo and the group upstairs hears it. Brite Bomber quickly tries again her strategy like he did with the other opponent and hides again, waiting for an ambush. One guy decided to go down into the basement. One step after another, the sounds kept getting louder, until the male Kitsune masked man notices Brite, with Brite trying to shoot him but since she wasted all her small ammo rounds on the ice cream man, the gun just clicks out of nothing to shoot. But he doesn't attack back, Brite tries to use the shotgun on him, but has some struggles to even shoot it despite it being loaded.

"You're supposed to rack the pump back."

"What?"

"You're supposed to pump it"

"Oh thanks-"

She then at first struggled to rack back the pump shotgun, but then she realized that guy was helping her how to fire a shotgun. She realized that this small interaction, was the first proper interaction she had in the loop.

"Wait... Why are you helping me kill you?"

"Kill?"

"Yeah like... Dissolve into cubes?"

"You new around here?"

"Well... I think I was here before?"

"Really? Try to remember something."

"Well I was... Uh... Uhm..."

She tries to remember again her first death in the loop but fails, like if she never experienced it. But she had the sense of deja vu like if she lived a moment here before.

"I. Don't remember..."

"Hm. Not so surprising."

"Huh?"

"Weren't you the unicorn llama torn shirt girl on the bus?"

"I..."

She looks down at her shirt to see if she's sure about responding

"I guess?"

"Alright. Grab my hand."

The kitsune masked person helped her up and then started walking back upstairs

"Wait!"

He continues to walk up until reaching his team back upstairs. With the team consisting of the same people Brite Bomber recognized, only that the second Kitsune masked individual was female and her mask was a little different than the male. Along with them was the purple hooded bear who tagged along, but instead of being human with a big heart symbol on her chest, she just looks like a ghost with her displaying a ":3" expression. The kitsune female stared at Brite and although her expression wasn't visible, she had a burning suspicion over her. "Who's the girl?"

"She's new to the loop, that's why I didn't shoot her."

The kitsune sighed out of grief. To Brite's thinking of the situation, she thought that she may call the shots for the team, or they all have input on who joins or who doesn't.

"Drift. You know what happened when we let Rex tagged along."

"Okay, I know he lied to us and betrayed us, but I can assure you she isn't hostile."

"That still doesn't tell anything, if anything, she might do the same!"

Before Brite could even speak on her defense, Drift asked the purple bear on even letting her go or let her go with them.

"Alright, what do you think?"

Instead of speaking, the bear just simply shrugged with her expressions changing form each time she reacts.

"Wait, before this gets worse, why don't we introduce ourselves in order to like... Better... Know each other I guess?"

Brite stood there in an embarrassed state for a solid moment before Drift breaks the awkward silence between the 4 of them.

"Okay for starters, my codename is Drift, the other person who's wearing nearly the same mask as me is my sister, Catalyst. Then we have..."

Drift looked at the bear with the bear shrugging again as she can't speak. He then whispers in her ear and then she nods to him.

"We'll just call her Raven."

"I like the nickname." Said Catalyst

Brite then said, "is she mute?" With Raven responding with a thumbs up.

"But what's your name?" Drift replying back

"Well uh."

"It's fine if you don't know your own actual name. We go by codenames they assigned us with."

"They?"

"The imagined order, you'll get to know them more when we traverse the island more."

As they were talking, a beep came from all of them, with Catalyst pulling out some sort of device.

"Shoot, storm's moving. We have to move north east."

"What about her?"

"Fine, she'll come with us. If she shoots us, it's your fault!"

They go out of the Durr Burger with the 3 of them started running. With Brite Bomber struggling to keep up the pace with them.
