At the Palace
No one POV
Madeleine was looking over at a letter, She sighed and touched her head and Cecily walked up, Madeleine said "Mother, I am not in the mood to hear you defend George."
Cecily said "I'm not here to defend George" and Madeleine said "That's a new one, I never thought that would happen, Tell me, Mother if your not defending George, then what shall you do with your time, You might be very lost."
Cecily said "You hold anger at me, because you think I do not care for you" and Madeleine said "I know you care for me, Mother, Just not as much as you care for George. But I don't take that personally, Everyone else could say that. You would commit treason for George, In a way you already had."
Cecily said "Excuse me, My darling" and Madeleine said "Do not use nicknames on me, Mother, I am not George, I do not seek flattery, Mother, you act so high, as if George did not try to take away Edward's Throne, you showed up to that wedding."
Cecily said "Hasn't George suffered enough, he's lost his child" and Madeleine said "He wouldn't have lost his child, if he and Warwick didn't put Isabel who was in her confinement, onto a ship, If they weren't so power hungry and just accepted that they can't pull the King's strings, Then he wouldn't have lost the child, They have no one to blame but themselves. Perhaps, Mother, if you spoiled George a little less, and stop making him feel as if he is the golden boy above everyone else, Then maybe he'd have sense like the rest of us."
Madeleine stood up and walked away.
Calais
Anne walked in and said "Issy" and Isabel said "Ruined. Everything's ruined!".
Anne said "No, it looks worse than it is. We can manage until we return home."
Isabel said "Home? You think we're going back to England? " and Anne said "Of course."
Isabel said "Anne, don't be such an idiot. We will never see England again. We are exiles now, like the Bad Queen."
Anne said "We are not like her. We are nothing like her. Father promised he would put George on the throne, and he will. And then you shall be Queen of England."
Isabel said "If it weren't for Father's plotting, I'd be cradling my son in my arms now. But I am all alone."
Anne walked up and grabbed her hand and said "You are not alone. You have me. And I will never leave you, I promise. We'll always have each other."
In Warwick's Study
Countess Anne, Anne, Isabel walked in, Warwick also walked in and George said "What's this about, Warwick? Where have you been?".
Warwick said "Making arrangements."
George said "What arrangements?" and Anne said " Are we going home, Father?" and Warwick said "Yes. But not just yet. You are to be married first, Anne."
Anne said "Married?" and Countess Anne said "I was not consulted... " and Warwick said "There wasn't enough time. "
Anne said "To whom? Richard?" and George said "My brother?" and Warwick said "No, of course not. "
Anne said "Who, then?" and Warwick said "Prince Edward of Lancaster."
Anne said "The Bad Queen's son? " and Warwick said "You mustn't say that any more."
Anne said "Margaret of Anjou is our enemy. Our greatest enemy. She hates us."
Warwick said "If this goes according to plan, she will be your mother-in-law."
