Clara sat at the table, her heart racing. She hasn't seen Lynn since their messy breakup. Now Lynn was dating her sister,Rachel.
Clara's mom welcomed Lynn with a warm smile "Glad you could come"
Lynn's eyes met Clara's,tension thick between them
Clara's anger still simmered but Lynn's presence stirred old feelings. She pushed them aside for her own sake and focused on their conversations and dinner.
As they settled her sister Rachel beamed with happiness "Lynn's been amazing im so glad we met"
(1st person)
"I wonder who introduced you guys" I mumbled under my breath
"What was that?" Rachel asked as I repeated my words louder
Everyone fell silent because they knew well I introduced them while me and Lynn where still together
My mom and dad tried breaking the ice and kept talking and asking questions as I stayed silent ignoring their glances
At some point we started arguing
My eyes narrowed at Lynn "wow you're really good at replacing people, aren't you?"
I noticed her expression drop "Clara please"
"No really" I continued with my voice laced with sarcasm "First you leave me, and now your dating my sister, that's impressive"
Rachel's Face reddened "Clara stop"
"Stop!?,your the one who's been dating my ex, the girl I introduced you to while me and her where dating"
Lynn's voice rose "that's not fair,Clara"
"You want to talk about fair!?, because you sure as hell don't know what fair is"
Rachel stepped forward "Clara I had no idea you felt that way"
"You never cared to ask did you?" I shook my head tears daring to come out of my eyes
My mom intervened "enough, we're going to talk this through"
The discussion that followed was heated and emotional. My anger and hurt spilled out
Lynn tried to apologize but by this point I wasn't having it
"Your sorry?, sorry isn't enough"
"Clara I never meant to hurt you" Rachel spoke
"You never bothered to find out, your only acting sentimental because moms here" I argued
The aftermath was messy, hurt feelings, and broken trust
Clara's anger got the best of her,but beneath it she knew she still loved Lynn
Lynn realized she had made a grave mistake, losing Clara twice.
