Let us sit and talk about nothing
It is what friends do when they meet
How the idle kill time
Talking about this and that
Something about something
And the other. We will twist and bend the truth
Exaggerate and colour the facts
Till boredom becomes a relic
A thing of the past
Enjoying nothing while spilling
The beans
Till stories turn into scandalous gossip
For laughter is the best prescribed medicine. So sit dear friend and we will
Contemplate on problems
We do not have
Your infectious smile will encourage my talk
Words are meant to be heard by the ears
Let yours hear what I have to say
We will give meaning to sounds released by my voice box
As my body matches my excitement
And the letters I utter. It has been a long day my friend
Let us sit and talk about nothing.
