Since her time with Dwarves many many years ago, Ellaria had taken it upon herself to travel far and wide, going as an ambassador for her father when he had somewhere else to be. She trained herself relentlessly, becoming unquestionably skilled in combat of any kind. She'd even gone so far as to train herself in the magic of healing. After being unable to heal Kili when he'd been shot with that arrow, Ellaria felt it was her duty to enlighten herself on healing and different salves. It was a tricky occupation, but with the right ingredients and mindset, she'd managed to get pretty good at it. By far she was not the best, but she knew what she was doing.
Ellaria walked up and pulled her arrow free from its target, placing it back in her quiver before turning and walking away. Her training was complete for the day. She made her way to her room, changing into a elegant green dress. It was an off-shoulder dress, embroidered with silver outlines. She made her way back outside, going to her horse. Valera had passed a few years back, a heartbreak that Ellaria was not yet prepared for. Now, she stood with Silvermist, given the name from her silver hair that flowed. Her fur was speckled grey, but her underbelly was pure white. She was odd, but she was beautiful. Ellaria fell in love with her the first time she saw her.
She brushed the horses hair, the horse whinnying in contempt. Ellaria smiled, placing the brush aside and running a hand over the horses snout. "Would you want a ride today, Silvermist?" The horse brushed her nose against Ellaria's face and Ellaria chuckled. "Fine. One ride. Hopefully father doesn't see, if he catches me riding in this dress he might slaughter me."
She saddled her horse, climbing atop her and letting her go. She let the horse freely gallop, taking Ellaria around the fields. Ellaria had a smile on her face, the wind in her hair bring her a sense of comfort. The horse went from full sprints to a slow trot, going around in a circle. Ellaria giggled at the horses antics, turning her head only to spot her father patiently standing there, his hands entwined in front of him. "Hello, father."
Elrond looked at his oldest daughter, trying his best to hide his smile. He had come to ridicule her, but seeing her laugh like that brought a warmth to his heart. It had taken his daughter decades to heal from the loss of her Dwarven friends, for a long while seeing her truly smile and laugh had been scarce. All he ever wanted was for his daughter to be happy. While she had grown content with her time at home, Elrond knew his daughter all to well. It had been to long since she'd left Rivendell, and he knew that she was yearning to have another grand adventure.
Ellaria climbed down from Silvermist, letting the horse freely trot around the grass, never straying too far from Ellaria's sight. She walked up to her father, giving him a sheepish smile. He rose his brows, glancing at her attire. "I know." Ellaria sighed. "Truly, it was Silvermists's fault. She wanted a ride, who was I to deny her one?"
