The morning sun spilled through the windows, casting a golden light over the bustling scene inside Lily and Elliot's home. The house hummed with activity as family and friends moved from room to room, chatting, laughing, and carrying boxes of decor, seating charts, and trays of homemade treats. The scent of fresh coffee and baked goods wafted through the air, adding to the cozy atmosphere that made everything feel like a celebration.

For Lily, the sight was both heartwarming and slightly overwhelming. She had planned and envisioned this day down to the smallest detail, yet there was a distinct feeling of chaos that she hadn't expected. Everywhere she turned, someone was asking a question, offering help, or confirming details.

"Lil, where do you want the candles?" her cousin asked, holding up a box of ivory candles meant for the tables.

"Oh, those go with the floral arrangements," Lily replied, scanning the room. "They should be over there, next to the flowers. Thank you!"

Elliot's mom, bustling in from the kitchen with a fresh pot of coffee, handed her a mug with a warm smile. "Here, sweetheart. You look like you could use a little boost."

Lily took the mug gratefully, breathing in the comforting aroma. "Thank you. I definitely needed this."

Sipping her coffee, she glanced across the room to see Elliot talking with his dad and a few of his friends, sorting out the seating chart and ensuring that everything was in place. She couldn't help but smile at the sight of him, so focused and calm amidst the whirlwind around them. His ability to stay grounded was something she loved about him, and today, it was especially comforting.

Elliot caught her eye from across the room, flashing her a reassuring smile that seemed to say, We've got this.

Feeling a bit more grounded herself, Lily took a deep breath and went back to work, helping her mom arrange a few last-minute bouquets and setting out ribbons to tie around the chairs. Each task felt like a small piece of a much larger puzzle, a way to bring her vision for the wedding to life. And with every flower she arranged and every candle she set in place, her excitement grew.

As she worked, her friend Sarah came over with a grin, holding up two pairs of shoes. "Alright, Lil, it's decision time. Flats or heels?"

Lily laughed, glancing down at the options. She had agonized over every detail, and even though this was a small decision, it felt momentous. "Honestly? I think I'll go with the flats. I want to be able to dance all night without worrying about tripping."

Sarah grinned, giving her a playful nudge. "Good choice. And you're definitely going to be on that dance floor all night, so might as well be comfortable!"

The room buzzed with conversations and laughter as family and friends continued to pitch in. There was a joyful energy in the air, an excitement that seemed to lift everyone's spirits. Lily's heart swelled with gratitude as she looked around, realizing how lucky she was to have such a supportive group of people by her side.

At one point, Elliot's dad called out, holding up a slightly wrinkled seating chart. "Elliot, Lily! Is this where you wanted Aunt Clara to sit?"

Elliot made his way over, studying the chart with a furrowed brow. "Actually, I think we decided to move her over here, next to my cousins. She'll enjoy being near family."

As he straightened up, Elliot met Lily's gaze, his eyes twinkling with a hint of mischief. "We're almost there, Lil. Just a few more tweaks, and then... it's go time."

Lily chuckled, feeling a surge of anticipation. "I can't believe it's all coming together. It's like everything we've been planning for months is finally happening."
