After the disaster of the pizza party with the team, the four of us went back to our place. Call it a double sleepover if you will. The boys played games in Rory's room while Ava and I just talked for three hours straight. It was well after everyone fell asleep, and here I was creeping down the stairs so I don't wake anyone up. I didn't know why I couldn't sleep until I got into the kitchen.

I scratched at my leg where Cody had touched me earlier. I could still feel his hand on me and it gave me the chills...and not in a good way. I grabbed my mug of hot chocolate and one of my mom's brownies. I went out on the back porch and sat on the swing. There was a good layer of snow covering everything, but that wasn't the thing giving me the chills.

My leg had a red spot on it from where I had been scratching. Ugh! I hate this! I pulled my shirt over my legs and sipped on my hot chocolate. I don't know how long I had been outside, but I couldn't feel my fingers or toes. I was about to go back inside when the sliding door opened.

I guess it's my body's natural response to let out a sigh of relief when I see Morgan. He was wrapped up in his blanket, his hair all a mess, and sleep still glazed over his eyes.

"Everything okay?" His voice was about twelve octaves deeper and definitely screams 'I wish I was sleeping right now!'

"Yeah, everything's fine." I resisted the urge to scratch my leg, and instead scratched the back of my neck.

"Daze, what's that?" His eyes were fixed on the spot on my leg.

"It's nothing." I quickly covered it with my shirt again.

He said nothing as he unwrapped himself and sat down on the bench next to me. He then wrapped the blanket around both of us and motioned for me to lay down. I did as asked and laid my head in his lap, looking up at him. He was really warm and I wanted nothing more than to snuggle into him.

Morgan's fingers slowly raked through my hair, and on instinct I leaned into his hand.

"What's going on my love?" His voice was softer now, eyes clearer.

I let out a sigh and didn't answer right away. Morgan sat there patiently and waited for me to dump everything in my mind into his lap.

"I... can still feel his hand on me. And it's driving me crazy. I want it to go away but it's not. I keep scratching as I can scratch the feeling away but that doesn't work either. I'm scared it might never go away and I have to live with it forever. I know it sounds silly, but it's the only thing on my mind and I just can't take it-"

"Sweetheart take a breath." Morgan's voice cut me off. I blinked and looked into his eyes as I sucked in a breath. As I looked into his eyes, my body began to relax.

I didn't realize how tense I was.

"I hear you Daze and I'm not leaving your side. I promise nothing is going to happen like that again. I've got your back baby." He brushed my hair out of my face. "How can help you feel better in this moment?"
