"CHLOË" I heard being yelled

"Hm" I mumbled halfway asleep, I went to bed late last night, because I wanted to watch the whole twilight saga.

"It's 8:30, get up! Don't you got work" I hopped up quickly after hearing that, still being halfway sleep I almost tripped over my area rug.

"Damn, slow down C" Delaney said, I could hear his voice clearer now, we must've went to sleep on the phone last night after I called him to discuss twilight.

After taking my phone off of the charger, I muted it before going in the bathroom to pee, and brush my teeth and wash my face.

"Laney I'm gonna take a shower and get dressed, do you want me to hang up?" I asked him softly in my sleepy voice.

"You good, just go get ready" he said.

I said okay then went to the bathroom to shower and get ready.

For my job at the diner I have to wear all black, which I'm glad because I really didn't want to wear a uniform.

I brushed my hair into a slick back bun, putting a claw clip on it to secure it from falling, also spraying a little perfume before grabbing my bag.

"I'm already outside Chlo" I heard Delaney say making me grab my phone of if the bed, before locking up and making my way outside.

"Hi Laney" I said getting into the car and buckling up before putting my bag next to my feet.

"Wassup, you good?" He asked.

"I'm fine, thanks for asking, you?" I asked him.

"Chillin, I already got the address in my gps, I know you could just tell me where to go but this easier" he said.

Chloë usually walked to work, its a ten minute walk from her house, and when she told Delaney yesterday he wasted No time offering her a ride, he was usually up pretty early anyways.

"Thank you for taking me, I really appreciate it more than you know" I told him, crazy has he's done more for me in 3 weeks than my parents have in almost 18 years.

Not even financially, He's given me emotional security, reassurance, and just being there for me mentally.

I haven't even thought about ending my life as much as I usually do before Delaney came around.

" It ain't shit C, if you need me for anything I'm there, No questions asked" he said back looking over to smile at me.

A blush creeped up on my cheeks, prompting me to quickly turn my face towards the window, just listening to the music for the rest of the drive.

"Aight ma, I'll see you at 3:30" Delaney said making sure I knew he would be back to pick me up.

"You sure Laney? you're already doing a lot bringing me here, you don't have to pick me up" I laughed slightly, I just didn't want him to feel as though I was using him.
