If there's one thing slytherins know how to do well, it's throw a party.
The annual back to school party is tonight and people are starting to arrive. Since it's by invite only, these make the party's much more desirable. Everyone wants in.
The days after Evangeline found me in the forbidden forest i've been trying to keep it a secret. There would be too many questions as to why I was there and her as well.
The party was being held in the slytherin common room. Enough quiet spells were put around the walls so we don't need to worry about anyone or anything ruining the party. The lights of the room were fairly dimmed and green party lights were in replacement. Music was so loud you could feel the floor vibrate.
These party's are meant for people to have fun and losen up. Which is what i'm trying to do tonight. I've been so anxious with someone now walking around with my secret.
I need a drink.
I make my way to the makeshift bar and tell the other student working behind the counter to make me something strong. I didn't care what it was. As he handed me a drink I made my way to the other side of the room.
That's when I saw my fellow quidditch teammates walk in my direction.
"Hey man, what's up?" Enzo patted me on the back.
"Are you ready for the first party of year? It's going to be crazy!" Theo exclaimed.
"I'm excited." I smile hoping to give off a convincing attitude. I keep watching for the door in case she comes in. Which I don't how she would get an invite.
"You keep watching the door, looking for anyone special? I heard Aurora will be here tonight." I groan at Mattheos words.
Aurora Valor is my ex, we were on and off for about a year. Considering she is also slytherin, the chances of her showing up tonight are not slim. Aurora cheated on me months ago and has been trying to get back with me ever since. Some people just don't know when to take no for an answer.
Just as I take another sip of my drink in the plastic red cup, over the rim pink hair shimmering in the green lights catch my eye. Crap. How did she get a ticket?
Before I can open my mouth, my best friend Castor pats me on the back before leaving my side. I watch as he makes his way to Evangeline and some dark haired girl next to her. Evangeline's friend throws her arms around Castor and he whispers something in her ear. His hand grabs hers and they make their way back to us.
Through the loud music Castor opens his mouth "This is Lala Lagrimas" she waves her hand and wraps her arm around Castor.
Lala moves her head to Evangeline's ear and I watch as the pink haired girl nods as she watches her friend be carried away by Castor leaving Evangeline all alone.
My eyes finally remove themselves from Evangeline's hair as I notice what she is wearing. This is definitely not her style but it fits in so well with this slytherin party.
The short black velvet dress shines in the green lights and she holds her stomach with both arms. Her heels are definitely not hers but they are a shiny black and pointed at the ends.
For a second I would think she is from Slytherin but no, I remind myself she is Hufflepuff. A hufflepuff that knows my secret to be more specific.
"Hey pretty girl" Enzo tries to sound charming as he smiles at Evangeline. Heat rises to my face but I ignore it as I watch her roll her eyes at my friend.
I bend down slightly so she can hear me over the noise of the party "I didn't think you'd show, Little Fox." She moves her head to speak into my ear "Glad to know I keep you on your toes."
Her small smirk is enough to drive a man crazy but luckily I don't have feelings for her.
If anything it's hatred. I wish she never saw me that night. I wish she would've just kept her mouth shut instead of landing us both in detention and putting suspicion on me.
But in hindsight I now have something on her. I'm just waiting for the right time to use it. Evangeline watches my face as I take another sip of my drink.

As she turned to walk away I realized most of my drink was gone and I needed more. We both started walking in the right direction.
I could feel the tenseness of her shoulders as she kept looking behind. "Don't worry Little Fox im merely going to get another drink." I reassure her but she doesn't answer.
As soon as she was handed her drink she practically chugged the entire thing, I did a double take having to make sure this was the Hufflepuff Evangeline Fox?
She watched my eyes, "what's wrong?" and looked around to check if I was shocked by anything else.
"Nothing. I was just going to suggest to maybe slow down on the drinks." I shrug my shoulders as I take a sip of my new drink.
"What I drink or do tonight is none of your concern." She crossed her arms.
And before I could say anything else I heard some people cheering.
