The man looked down at the planet before him. What was so interesting about it? Sure it was his home but that meant nothing didn't it? It's not like he was born or raised there only ever been there for the occasional diplomatic mission he never really got to know her nor understand the beauty that everyone always claims she has.

"Dad?" a small voice asked as they walked up.

"Who let you in here?" he sighed, turning to face his son.

"Mom told me the code." A smile was drawn on his face as he sat in the open seat next to his father.

"I swear to Pandora above that woman-" he scoffed though there was no real annoyance behind his tone. "Aren't you meant to be asleep anyway?"

"Uh....mom said I could be up?" The boy tried to lie.

"Oh did she? The same mom that is currently asleep herself?"

"Yes." the child said confidently.

"And what else did she tell you?" he rolled his eyes.

"She told me that... we could go to Ismene!" He smiled.

"How about we don't go but i let you stay up?" He smiled.

"Fine... but don't be surprised when she asks why you didn't take me." He smiled.

"Trust me I wont." He smiled, picking up the kid and walking over to the cafeteria.

"Dad?" The kid asked as his father grabbed some of the premade food for them.

"Hm?"

"Do you know when Uncle is coming back?" He asked, jumping around.

"It should be soon. I don't think he's planning on staying out there much longer." he shrugged thinking of his brother.

"Why does he have to go out all the time? He says he doesn't like it."

"Well...sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do. Just like how you have to learn about those math problems but you don't want to." He smiled.

"Ewww! Not the math that's gross!" He gagged looking away.

"Who knows one day it might just save your life. you never know with these things."

"What's taking sis so long?! She was meant to be out here like... an hour ago!"

"Isn't your sister meant to be doing her lessons?" He asked, confused.

"Yeah but she said she was going to skip so we could hang out." He whimpered as a voice came out.

"Erin you little rat!" his older sister yelled running up. "You weren't meant to tell him!"

Erin yelled and tried to get into his fathers arms.

"Why cant you two get along for one day?" He sighed, picking up his youngest.

"Because Erin can't keep a secret."

"But you said dont tell mom you never said don't tell dad."

"Yeah but I thought you would understand that i ment both of them."

"Hey don't yell at your brother for doing the right thing... and hey.. So long as your mom doesn't find out then you can do whatever you want alright?" He sighed.

"Really?" she asked.

"Sure."
