"Hey, Yoongs?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you think we're going to be alone forever?"

Yoongi blinked. "What do you mean?" he asked. "We're not alone. We have each other."

Aera sighed. "I mean, like, do you think we'll ever get a boyfriend and girlfriend?"

"I don't know," Yoongi admitted. "But we're only 13, A. I think we've got some time to figure it out."

Aera sighed. "I know. But I overheard Iseul talking about how she and Hwan are dating now. They even kissed! And it just got me thinking."

Yoongi scoffed. "Is that what you want? A kiss?"

"No," Aera said quickly. "I mean, not necessarily." She looked down at her hands as she fiddled with her fingers.

"You'll find someone," Yoongi assured her. "And then you'll get all the kisses you want."

Aera giggled. "I suppose so."

Yoongi watched her curiously for a moment. She was now staring off into the distance. Then, she slowly turned toward him, and their eyes met.

And before either of them realized what they were doing, they were moving their heads closer together. They were still staring into each other's eyes, but eventually both began to close them. Their lips then met in a soft but short kiss.

Short because they both immediately pulled back and turned away.

"Ew," Aera said.

"Absolutely not," Yoongi agreed.

They both wiped their mouths, then looked at each other. They then burst into laughter.

"Did we really just waste our first kiss on each other?" Yoongi said.

"We're so weird," Aera giggled.

They both then looked at each other seriously.

"I'm really glad we do have each other, though," said Aera. "I mean, not in that way. But that we're friends."

Yoongi smiled. "Best friends."
