Yoongi, surprisingly, was not nervous as he knocked on Hye's door. But he couldn't help but let his rage bubble up again as he heard a woman's voice in the apartment.

The door opened, and Hye's face paled. "Y-Yoongi."

"Hye."

"W-What are you doing here?"

Yoongi scoffed, and Hye hung his head.

"Look, I – "

"I really want to say, 'cut the crap' right now, but I promised her I'd stay calm."

Hye visibly relaxed, and Yoongi's eyes narrowed.

"But it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission."

Hye flinched. Yoongi peered over his shoulder at the woman sitting confusedly on Hye's couch.

"Get out," he said, decidedly calmly.

Her eyes widened. Hye opened his mouth to object, but Yoongi wouldn't let him.

"If you want to keep me from exploding, I suggest she leave."

Hye sighed. "Haeun, can you give us a few minutes, please?"

"But – "

"Get. out," Yoongi growled.

"It's okay," Hye said. "We won't be long."

Haeun stood and begrudgingly walked out of the apartment and into the hallway. Yoongi then entered and closed the door behind him.

After a few moments of silence, Hye spoke first. "So..."

"So, what the fuck, Hye?"

Hye sighed. "I understand why you're upset. I just – "

"You cheated on her."

"You know I still love her."

"No, I don't know! If you do, you have a funny way of showing it."

"Listen – "

"No," Yoongi said fiercely. "You listen. I have spent 14 years being there for her, and never have I seen her as distraught as she is right now. You caused this. And you're going to fix it."

Hye stared at Yoongi. "And how do you suggest I fix it?"

Rage flashed in Yoongi's eyes. "Figure it out."

"Listen, Yoongi... I told you I still love her, and that's true. But, let's be honest, she was never really meant to be with me."

Yoongi furrowed his brow. "What?"

"You, Yoongi. She's meant to be with you."

Yoongi's brow furrowed even deeper. "What the hell are you talking about?"

"I have no doubt that she loves me, too. But c'mon, Yoongi. She loves you more, and the two of you... Well, you're meant to be. You don't realize it yet, but you will."

"Even if this crazy shit you're saying were true, you think that's a good enough reason to cheat on her?"

Hye sighed. "No, of course not. I made a mistake. And I have to live with the shame I hope you know I feel. I – "

"Do you feel it, though? If you were ready to move onto someone else, why the fuck wouldn't you just break up with her?"

Hye hung his head. "I should have. And I'm sorry that I didn't."

"You don't owe me an apology."

"I know," Hye said quietly.

"Here's what's going to happen," Yoongi said harshly. "You're going to call her and schedule a time and place to meet. You will not bring your new little girlfriend with you. Do you understand?" Hye nodded. "Then you're going to apologize to her. You will not bring up this bullshit about she and I needing to be together, because this has nothing to do with me. You'll then go your separate ways and you'd better never show your stupid face around either of us ever again."

"Okay," Hye whispered. "I understand."

"Because if you do, I'll break my promise to her and I will hurt you. I'm not afraid to do so."

Hye nodded again.

Yoongi paused for a few moments, staring at Hye. Eventually, he spoke again.

"What are you waiting for?"

"W-What?"

"Why aren't you calling her?"

"Y-You want me to right now?"

"God, Hye. Are you stupid?"

Hye didn't hesitate to turn around and fetch his phone. Yoongi stared him down as he pulled up Aera's contact and pressed the call button.

"Hi," Hye said suddenly, and Yoongi knew Aera had answered. He couldn't hear her side of the conversation, but his main concern was Hye's anyway.

"Can we, uh, get together sometime soon? I think we need to talk."

Hye paused. "Okay, when are you free?"

He was quiet again for a few moments. "Then let's meet then at the coffee shop near the campus – "

He suddenly became visibly uncomfortable. "Yeah, our favorite." He paused again. "Okay, see you then. Bye."

As he hung up the phone, he turned to Yoongi. "I'm going to meet with her tomorrow."

"Good."

"For what it's worth, Yoongi, I'm really sorry."

Yoongi just stared at him as he moved toward the door. "Not worth much. And apology not accepted. But I'm glad to know you're finally going to say you're sorry to the right person."

Yoongi turned the doorknob and pulled the door open. Haeun stumbled over the threshold, making it obvious she'd been against the door, attempting to listen. Yoongi scoffed and looked at her with disdain as she righted herself.

"He's all yours," Yoongi sneered.

Then he slammed the door behind him as he entered the hallway and stormed away.
