Hello there! This is a one shot of an old OC pairing I was part of.

I was reading over some old RPs out of boredom looking for writing inspiration for No One...

Let's just say that I definitely found some inspiration.

Definitely not related to No One, though.

Apologies. You'll need a tissue.

The lights in the warehouse went out one by one around her as Bella stood in the middle of an empty space between the massive industrial shelves, her blue eyes narrowed defiantly at the silver-haired man that towered over her.

Her fingers were wrapped tightly around the grip of a solid black bow, which she held at her side. The black quiver weighed heavy on her shoulders, despite the light weight of the carbon fiber arrows it stored. Her right hand fidgeted with the pouch on the tool belt anxiously, her mind racing with the building fear and anger of what was to come.

The silver-haired man stepped into the last remaining circle of light, placing a set of night vision goggles on her forehead. "You can be angry all you want," he muttered, adjusting the fitting so it held snug on her head. "You agreed to this."

"If I had known what I was agreeing to, I would've never made that deal with you," she sneered at him. The temptation to grab one of the arrows off her back and sink it into his neck was growing stronger as he looked her over. She knew it would be pointless. Even if he didn't read her mind to counter it, the damage would've been minimal. Hardly fatal.

But, the satisfaction of seeing him bleed, even if just for a moment, would've offered Bella a little solace for the situation she found herself in.

"You wouldn't trade a thing for what you gained." His fingers were surprisingly gentle as they wrapped around her right hand, raising it to hold between them. He placed his other hand on top of her's, his gray eyes staring down into Bella's defiant blues. "You got what you wanted. It's time to reconcile your debt."

"I'll find a way out." Bella declared boldly. "I won't stop fighting until I'm free of you."

The last light went out above them.

The man's face was suddenly cast in an eerie shadow as a dark red light emitted from his hands. She let out a faint gasp as his power flowed through her veins, her defiant stance crumbling as a wave of weakness crashed over her.

"No. You won't."

She closed her eyes tightly, the bow falling from her hand as she raised it to grip her head. His power invaded her thoughts, bringing forth the darkest parts of her mind. It whispered to her, promising to rid her of her pain. Begging for surrender.

I'm sorry, friends.

As much as Bella tried, her resolve wasn't strong enough to fight off the corruption taking root in her mind. Her body began to lax, her fingers grasping the bow once more as she slowly stood again.

Her eyes fluttered open to meet the triumphant grin of The Master who stood before her. He removed his hand, his mark now covering the soft pale skin of her right hand. "Your targets await."

She felt her face twist into an unnatural grin as she reached back, snagging an arrow from the quiver and notching it to the bowstring. "I'm ready."

He pulled the goggles down to cover her eyes before turning and gesturing to the closest row of shelves. "Seek."

Large crates and wooden boxes laid about the shelves and floor, which provided great hiding spots for each of her targets. She used them to her advantage, tapping on a few as she walked past, slamming others together, trying to scare her hidden pray into revealing themselves.
