The squid castle, home to many survivors of the Great War between land and sea armies, held many dark secrets under it's cold waters. The dark magic practiced inside its walls could easily wipe out every land creature in the world of Minecraftia, the scandals committed could destroy the world as everyone knows it, and the plans devised under these waters spoke of world destruction.
But hidden within these walls were many victims of horrible events, many of whom are forced into roles meant for criminals or, back at their home, Squids. Maids, personal items of pleasure, or just punching bags for soldiers, each of these unfortunate souls fall under these categories. Who are these unfortunate souls? None other than former recruits of the now Team Crafted generals.
All of them were turned into hybrids, though not changed to have the mindset of a squid, and then assigned to a soldier or general of their army. One of these unlucky members, though, was selected to be the queen's personal maid.
This particular girl was known as Bella, and any soldier of the squid army would tell you, she's the most entertaining to aggravate. A natural fighter and a former member of Mitch's army, Bella was skilled in hand to hand combat and any long ranged weapon, although she preferred a bow over anything. Which is why when she became a maid, the queen made it a point that she'd never touch a bow for the rest of her life.
The Queen starved her, beat her, gave her the most unusual and cruel punishments possible until she lost her fighting attitude, and continued them afterwards to make sure she'd never gain it back.
By the time General Deadlox was turned into General Squidlox, she'd been given to the prince as a cruel gift. By his reaction to his mother's gifting, Bella felt that he'd treat her much worse than Dawn had ever treated her. But once he had dragged her off to his room he eased her fears.
On one particular day she was cleaning the prince's room when a group of maids ran by the room, whispering about a general being captured. Bella turned towards the door and listened closely before her eyes widened when she heard Mitch's name. No, he couldn't be here. Not again.
Quickly stuffing her cleaning supplies into their spot, she ran to the dungeons to see if her former general was really captured again. When she came into the dungeons, she had to be extremely careful of running into a guard. They found it fun to take any 'stray maids' and have their way with them.
Upon arriving at Mitch's cell, she couldn't believe how much he's changed. He seemed to hold his head a little higher than when he was first captured, seemed a little stronger too. His shirt was soaked due to the water they had traveled through, and pressed against his chest in a way that highlighted the well toned abs beneath. His hair stuck to his head and face, and his dark brown eyes looked up at her in confusion.
Bella bit her lip, feeling suddenly awkward and shy for not planning what she'd say ahead of time, and waved to him. "I heard rumors you were here. I had to see for myself if it was true."
Her general stood up and walked over to the bars, water dripping from his clothes and hair as he did. "Oh my god... You're... I thought you'd been killed in the war!" He instantly went quiet when he saw her cringe. When she relaxed he spoke up again, softer, "You're not one of them are you?"
Bella shook her head, looking down at herself and bashfully hiding herself from his view. Her maids uniform was awfully revealing to add onto the embarrassment of every day life in the squid kingdom. "No... They thought it'd be funny to change my appearance to mimic their own hybrids, but I'm still human at heart."
Mitch gently grabbed her wrist with his cold hands and pulled her into his view. "You've changed a lot personality wise. What did they do to you?"
Bella shook her head, stepping back from the bars. "I shouldn't be here. Do you have an escape plan?"
Her general shook his head. Bella sighed before glancing around. She had an idea, one that could land her in the same position as Ty, but she couldn't just let her General stay here. She was always his soldier first.
Quickly she grabbed the keys to the cell and unlocked the door, pulling him out by his wrist and taking off running. "Hurry. We don't have much time if you're going to escape."
Mitch stumbled after her, blinking in surprise. "Bella, wait. You could end up-"
"Don't worry about me, sir. I've suffered a long time in this hellhole. You can help me by defeating the squids for good and staying who you are," the hybrid interrupted, dragging him through secret entrances and exits to different rooms.
The general stopped her in between two rooms, shaking his head. "I feel bad leaving you."
Bella sighed, shaking her head. "I'm weak, Mitch. Weak minded and weak physically. I wouldn't survive anywhere but here. You're better off out there."
Mitch hesitated slightly, glancing at the door ahead of them before turning his attention back to the hybrid in front of him. His pale hand ever so gently caressed the blue splotched cheek of his savior as he took his lower lip between his teeth. "I'll come back for you before you end up like my friends and recruits. I promise."
Her blue eyes reflected his sorrow as she leaned her face into his hand and silently nodded. They both knew he wouldn't, but both wanted to hold onto the hope he would. "I'll be here when you do, Mitch. Just do me a favor and bring a ton of backup."
The general gave a nod to his former recruit and placed a tender kiss to her forehead. "I'll bring the whole damn world with me," he muttered quietly before hugging the girl he loved for the last time and leaving the castle.
