"I don't trust her", Amity stated skating laps around the rink. Luz had been sitting on a bench sharpening her skates. "I know, neither do I".

Amity laps back around passing Luz. "She's gotta be up to something. She's always up to something". "Mhm", Luz said barely paying attention.

Amity noticed and skated around to her. "Whats wrong?", Amity asked trying to catch her breath. "Nothing", Luz replied not meeting her girlfriend's eyes. Amity moved Luz's other skate over and took a seat. "You know, I've you long enough now to know when you're lying", she said. Luz chuckled. "You've been studying me Blight? Seems kinda creepy doesn't it?", Luz replied still not looking at her girlfriend.

Amity takes Luz's chin and moves it so the girl next to her is looking at her. "Luz". This causes Luz to get flustered. She playfully pushed Amity away.

"It's nothing. Well it's kinda nothing. Okay it's something. I have a weird feeling about Jessica being here".

"Luz, babe, we all get weird feelings when she's around. She's the worst.", Amity said taking Luz's hand in hers.

"It's a different kind of weird feeling. Not an I hate her feeling but I feel like somethings happening feeling.", Luz said. Amity sighed. "It's okay to feel conflicted. Jessica hurt you the most out of everyone here. How about we just keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't do anything?".

"But the competition is tonight", Luz said confused. Amity laughed at her naive girlfriend. "No sweetheart, by we I mean our friends". Luz thought about it. "I guess that would ease my anxiety. It's just that this competition means so much to you. I don't want anything to mess it up".

Amity felt her heart melt. She felt like a winner even though she didn't perform her routine. She had a girlfriend who supported her and that was enough.

Amity pulled Luz into a kiss. "You're the best", she said. Luz smiled. "I know". They were about to share another kiss when they heard an agitating voice start to speak. "Ew hold the kissing for your hotel room freaks. Alert, alert, homos kissing on the premises", Boscha said entering with Willow and Gus.

"Hello to you too Boscha", Amity said rolling her eyes. Their friends sat behind them on the bleachers. "Where's Jessica?", Luz asked. Boscha got sad for a moment. "She was walking outside and...and she got...got...HIT BY A BUS. THE HORROR!!", Boscha said fake crying.

The rest of her friends look at her unamused. Luz looked at Willow for a real answer. "She went to the cafe", Willow replied. "Thank you Willow", Luz said throwing obvious shade to her other friend. "My version is still better ", Boscha said getting on her phone.

Amity pushed her friend's phone down to make sure she was paying attention. "We need you guys to do us a huge favor and keep an eye on Jessica while we prepare for the competition ", Amity said with a pleading smile.

Her girlfriend joined her, also starting to plead. "Pretty please with a cherry on top?". "I don't like cherries", Gus said. "Okay well then with sprinkles on top", Luz replied. "What kind of sprinkles?", Gus asked. "It doesn't matter what--". "Well I prefer chocolate sprinkles--". "Augustus Porter". "You're right. Sorry".

Their friends agreed to help and went to go find Jessica in the cafe. "Does this mean we have to go back to rehearsing?", Luz asked. "Luz you never started rehearsing. You spent the whole time sharpening your skates. Put them on, lace them up, and get your ass on the ice", Amity said. "But I don't feel like it", Luz whined. "Now", Amity replied sternly. Luz listened and began to prepare for a long rehearsal.

~After rehearsal~

Luz entered the room, breathing hard. She threw her practice bag on the bed and threw herself with it. "Luz you're all sweaty! Get off the clean bed", Amity protested. "You think you're the boss of me but in reality, I wear the pants here", Luz said continuing to lay on the bed.
