Tommy stepped forward. "I promised my friend, Freddy Thorne that I'd say a few words over his grave. If he should pass before me." He sighed and went on.

"And in the end it wasn't the war that took Freddie, pestilence took him." John and Esmes newborn started crying. "But Freddy passed on his soul and spirit to a new generation, before he was cruelly taken."

I was stood with Jermiah and Isiah- when a car pulled up. "Lilah, Lilah Shelby?" The blinder asked, I nodded. "The Garrisons been blown up." He whispered into my ear. "Is everything alright?" Isiah asked.

"The garrisons been blown up." I breathed, running over to Tommy.

Our pub was ruined- the street black with ash. "It happened at exactly 7am. Nobody saw anything, the patrols weren't in the area." Moss said.

Polly stepped closer to the building, picking up a piece of green paper. "This is all over the place, confetti." She muttered as Tommy dismissed the copper. "Who would do this to us?"

~

"Six." Polly stated, I looked up from the book I was reading. "Six what?" John asked her.
"Six questions since you've come through that door. Soon you'll have to start being the man with the answers." My aunt sighed, plopping herself down on the seat next to me. "Why?"

"Seven." I laughed, earning a grin from Polly. "When London happens you'll have to hold up your end. Or we'll find someone else that can." She told her nephew, lighting a cigarette.

I woke up in Isiah arms, groaning out of tiredness. "Morning baby." He muttered, kissing my shoulder gently. "G'morning love." I smiled, rolling out of bed and grabbing my clothes.

Isiah got out of bed soon after, wrapping his arms around my bare waist.
"You're so gorgeous." He complimented, placing
kisses on  my neck.

"You tell a soul in this family, and I swear I will cut you." I overheard my aunt say, as I walked into the betting shop.
"I don't need a Knife to stop me telling secrets given in confidence, it is a matter of honour." Esme said, as Polly held a knife to her throat.

"Morning!" I greeted, walking past the two ladies. Polly dropped her hand that was holding the knife, staring at me in shock. "Hello love." Esme replied, looking at me up and down weirdly.

"How's everything going with Isiah?" Polly asked, trying to bite back her grin. "Not bad, why'd you ask?" I questioned- confused.

"You're in his blazer love." I looked down, my aunt was right. I must've grabbed the wrong coat.
"-and judging by the state of your neck you've had a long night." My aunt laughed, watching as my face turned pink. "That bastard." I swore.

"Are you going to tell the boys any time soon? You're only getting older." Polly asked, lighting her cigarette. "Soon." I told the woman.
