-Chapter 8-

Coppers pov

He started playing with my hair, and my wings just spread across the bed. He just smiled, and I moved a little. I wrapped my arms around him, and he started tracing my scars.

He hugged me and whispered,"I'm glad you're safe, I don't know what I would've done without you." I just started crying, and he lifted up my face. He looked concerned and asked,"Hey penny, what's wrong?" Nothing, I'm alright.

He hugged me tighter, and I just sunk into it. H-h-have you ever thought about dating someone? He looked shocked and said,"Yeah, I thought about asking someone I'm just scared to." Who's the person? He looked away and said,"I'm not gonna tell you because you know them."

Okay. He looked sad, and I started pretending to sleep. He started playing with my hair and whispered," Only if I knew how to ask you, I would penny." He ended up laying down after and fell asleep. I would love to ask you too, I-Im just scared.

I got woke up to the alarm going off. He lightly shook me and said,"Hey, penny, time to get up." I don't want to. He just laughed and said,"Come on, it's time to start getting ready." Whatever. I sat up and sat there. He looked up at me and asked,"Did you have a nice nap?"

It was alright, how about you?" I walked over to the closet and threw on my shirt and put on my jeans and grabbed one of his hoodies. I steal a lot, so he cut holes for me. He just laughed and said,"That's mine, you little shit."

I just make it look better. He just rolled his eyes, and I grabbed my computer and went downstairs. Okay, wanna give me that earpiece. Mr. Compress passed em all put and finally gave me one. Okay, yall, ready to go? I'll be two buildings down.

They all nodded, and we left. I sat there and started typing. After a while, I got in. Okay, you guys can go. I'm in. They all said okay and went in. It looks like if you go to the right shigi and dabi, there's a secret button in the pot to open the door. He nodded, and they all went in there.

This is fun. I haven't done something like this in a while. I got bored and started looking through the security cameras, looking where they all are. Wait, what was that? I go back, and I see a child's room. Your fucking serious.

Hey guys, does Shark have a child? Touya talks back, saying,"I don't think so. Why?" There's a child's room on the second floor it looks like a little boy. I zoom in, and I don't see anyone in it. Doesn't look like he's in there. Wait shit he his damn he's only like one.

I went to sat something, but thunder went, making me scream. Touya asked, scared," Copper everything alright?" Yeah, thunder just scared me. I wasn't expecting it. He started cutting out. Hey Dabi, you there hello, anyone? Shit.

I noticed a car pull-up. Hey guys, are you there? Hey, answer me. Someone just pulled up. I heard Touyas voice say,"What did you just say?" Get out of there now! The next thing I know, the place burst into flames. Fuck no no no.

I go flying over as fast as I can and break through a window. I end up rolling and run into someone. I jump up and notice it's one of the workers. Shit I'm fucked.

Dabi/Touyas pov

We all couldn't hear Copper too well she kept on cutting out. It sounded like though she said to get out. What did you just say? I heard her clear yell,"Get out of there now!" Fuck. Next thing I know, there's a big explosion, and the whole place catches on fire.

Everyone, alright? I help Shigi, and we go running upstairs when I hear a thunk above us after glass shattering. You go that way. Try to find the others. I'll go this way. Shigiraki nodded, and we both went running different ways. I went upstairs and saw Copper fighting someone, and she grabbed a chain and wips it at the dude . It wraps around his foot, and she chucks him out the window.

That works. She smiled at me, and I heard cracking. The next thing I know, a beam that's on fire falls on me. Coppers smile disappeared, and she ran over to me and put out the beam and started using her quirks to lift it.

Her eyes start going black, and she starts floating. She uses her other hand and chucks me from out from underneath it. The next thing I know, she falls. Copper. She stands up and nods, and she helps me out. We finally make it out to the others, and we're all  there.

We went to leave when she heard the baby cry. Copper, no, it's too dangerous. She gives me a smile , flies up, and shoots through a window. No. I stand there for a little. Come on, come on, come on. Come out Copper. After a while, I start seeing flashing lights. Toga grabs my wrist and says,"Come on, Dabi, we have to go."

She went to go pull me when the building started making noises. We all stop and look. The next thing I knew, the top floors started falling the ones she was in. No! I went to go run in when Shigi and Twice started pulling me through a portal into the hideout.

No, bring me back. I have to get her! Shigi hugged me and said,"Sorry, Dabi, she couldn't have survived that." I just drop to the ground and stare off. I stand up and limp off to my room. She can't be dead. I never got to tell her how I felt about her.

I hurry to turn the news on, and it shows police and fire fighters at the building. They end up finding a body with wings but can't tell who it is. I just cover my mouth and shut it off. S-s-shes gone. She's really gone.

I can't believe this. It's all my fault I could've gotten her. I know I could've. We should've left her here. I made my way downstairs and grabbed a box of beer, and went back up to my room. I started drinking and couldn't stop. He's gonna pay, I'll make sure I kill him.

I put back on my shoes and left. Wait, where's her motorcycle? Oh yeah, she took it with us. I started walking over when I found Shark. I'm gonna kill him. I caught my hand on fire and caught a bag on fire, and chucked it in his van.

He looked shocked, and I blew it up. Come here, you bastard your gonna pay. You just killed my best friend. He looked a little scared and went to charge at me, but I caught his arm on fire. Come her fight like a man! He went to run, but I trapped him.

I told you I would make you pay. I used as much as I could and caught him on fire into crisps. That's what I thought. I just walked through the fire and to a bar. I kept getting drinks, and the bartender gave me a weird look.

What are you looking at? He looked away and said,"Nothing, but you should really slow down, man." Shut up. I don't need to slow down. He just shrugged, and I got back to drinking. A few hours later, he ended up kicking me out, saying," they were closing."

Fucking bitch. I just went back the hide out and tripped. What the fuck! Everyone looked over and I noticed I tripped on a pair of her shoes. I just chucked em and tried getting up. I ended up falling so Twice and Toga came running over and helped.

Get your hands off me. They both backed up and I stumbled back a little. Compress looked over and asked,"How much have you had to drink?" That's not your business. I just started walking up the stairs and ran into the wall a couple times.

I finally made it over to my bed and it didn't feel the same. I looked and her clothes were still on the floor. The bed felt hard and it didn't feel right not having the weight of her laying on me and wrapping her body around me.

You stupid fucking bastard. Why did you run back in there! I couldn't help it I started crying. She was my best friend and now she's gone. After awhile I ended up crying myself to sleep.

Coppers pov

I look at Touya smile and go flying up and in through a window, shattering it. The smoke makes it a little hard to breathe and see. I keep coughing, but I finally hear the baby crying. Where are you, buddy? I finally find his room and can hear him crying in a crib.

Thank goodness you're alright. I wrap him up in a blanket and can tell the place is gonna fall soon. I'm already covered in burns, so I fly up and jump through some fire and go running. The place starts making noises, so I find the staircase. Yes, it's one of the drop ones. Sparks start falling on me.

I look up, and the ceiling starts collapsing. Shit! I jump down and can feel the air while we fall. Come on, I gotta go faster. I finally make it down and jump out a door and roll out. I cover him while on the ground. Something smacks the back of my head, and everything goes black.
