Chapter 4

Coppers Pov

I slowly wake up to the smell of coffee. I feel someone messing with my hair and noticing Touya watching tv, drinking coffee, and playing with my hair. T-Touya, where am I? Why does my head hurt? He just laughs and asks, "You don't remember much of last night, do you?"

I-I remember dad beating me up, then nothing after that." Touya raises an eyebrow and says, "Go look in the mirror in my bathroom." Why did I do something? I go to walk into his bathroom, but I have more of a limp and everything's sore.

He helps me into the bathroom and over by the mirror. Damn, I'm a mess. He just nodded, and I smacked him behind the head. Hey thanks asshole! He raised an eyebrow while saying, "Hey, I'm the one helping you walk. I could drop you at any moment. Please don't. I'm sorry.

We walk downstairs, and everyone looks over at us. The girl with buns smiles and asks, "Can I please taste your blood?" Uhhh, sorry, no, I would like to keep my blood inside me. She looked sad, and Touya yelled at her, "Hey, Physico, go get her a cup of coffee." He helped me sit down and gave me the cup from the girl.

I just sat there drinking the coffee. Do you have some ibuprofen? My head is killing me. The one with the mask on gives me 2 and says, "Here ya, you drank a lot last night." I just look over at Touya. You let me drink! He just put his hands up and said," Hey, I'm not your parent." You surely act like it sometimes.

He just crossed his arms and said, "Oh ya, I act like your parents sometimes. What is that supposed to mean?" You boss me around, try telling' me what I can and can't do. He rolls his eyes and says, "You're just like your mother." I just look at him. N-n-no I'm not like that fucking slut, and If that's how you feel fine bye I'll leave.

He slammed his drink down and said, "That's not what I meant." I just walk out and start walking away from the building. Oh ya, I'm just like my mom? Let me just go sleep with 30 other dudes and be a stripper. He grabbed me and hugged me. Touya, let go, please.

He shook his head no and said, "No, not until you know I didn't mean it." Okay, I do. Why not we go shopping? He nodded and followed me over to the store. We got some things we needed and went back to the hideout, and I put everything away. shit I don't have any clothes. I'm gonna regret this. I walk out of the hideout and fly over to my house.

Phew, both cars aren't home. I hurry, pack my stuff, grab my motorcycle helmet and throw everything on there, and drive off as fast as I can down the road.

I made it over to the hide put with out any one noticing  me. Thank goodness.

I parked my motorcycle where no one could find it and walked inside with 2 bags of my stuff. I looked over on Touya's door, and there's a note stuck to it. He wrote

Hey Copper, we went out on a mission. Be back around midnight. Maybe see you after.
                                   

Okay, so their gone for a while. I just clean up the place and get dressed into jeans and a long sleeve black shirt with my hair up into a messybun. I grab some stuff and get onto my motorcycle, and drive off. I made it to a tattoo and piercing shop. I pulled out my fake ID and walked in.

Hey, I was wondering if you have any job openings. They nodded and showed me to an office, and a man said," I'll be with you in a moment." I just nod and rock back and forth in my chair about 6 times before he comes back with papers. He lays them down and asks," Have you ever tattooed or gave anyone a piercing before?"

Yes, some I have done on me and some on others. He nodded, and I signed the work, and he asked,"Okay, can you start work tomorrow morning 6 A.m?" Yes, sir. He smiled and asked,"Do you have any questions for me?" Yes, actually, do you guys do walk in tattoos?

He smiled and asked," Oh, do you want one? If you do, I'll meet you in the back room." I actually want to get a Medusa with a semicolon in her eye. His smile faded, and he asked," You know what those mean, right?" Sadly, yes, I do.

He nodded and said," Okay, where are we thinking for this?" Can I have it like on my side but up were if I wear say a crop top people can't see it. He nodded and printed out the picture I drew for it. After about 4 hours, we finished.

Thank you so much, sir. I love it. He smiled and said,"Here, follow me. I'll show you to your office." I followed him back, and he showed me all the stuff. Oooo this is nice. He just smiled and shook my hand and said,"Can't wait to see you tomorrow morning."

I put my helmet back on and drove back to the hideout. Now, what do I do for 4 hours? I just sit there and play with my snake bites. Oooo, I'm gonna go get something to eat. I walk out of the hideout and just start flying. I feel someone coming up behind me, so I stop and turn around.

Hawks stops in front of me and says,"Wow, what happened to your face." Nothing important. He just drops it, and I get back to flying. Stop following me. It's fucking creepy. He came up beside me and said,"You look so familiar." Cool, so stop following me. I'm hungry.

I just stop and drop myself and watch him panick. I stopped before I hit the ground and just landed and walked into the restaurant. A waiter walked up and said,"Just the two of you today?" I slowly turned around and saw Hawks nod. You son of a bitch.

He just follows me over the table that the waiter brings us to. Why did you follow me in here? He shrugs and says," You seemed lonely, and where's your parents?" Ph. I don't know, and I don't care. He looks shocked, and the waiter asks,"Do you two know what you want to drink, or do you need a moment?"

I'll have iced coffee, please. Hawks nods and says," Same here, sir. " You suck you know that? He just shrugs and says,"Eh, who cares? You looked lonely." The dude came back and asked us what we wanted to eat? I'll have a Naruto roll, please. Hawks smiles and says,"I'll have a bowl of ramen, please."

He smiles and asks,"So mystery girl, what's your name?" Sorry, I'm not telling you. He looked confused and asked,"Why, you hiding something?" The waiter turns on the tv, and it shows a picture of me and a reward. I look down, and Hawks looks over at me.

He jumps up and says,"I know you looked familiar!" Sit your ass down. I use air and make him sit. Please don't turn me in, I'm begging you, I can't deal with that. He nods and says,"Don't worry, I won't. I've seen you and your parents on the carpet. I could tell you were wearing makeup to cover bruises."

Not all those are from them, but thanks. He nods, and our food gets here. We just eat, and it's kinda silent. I ask for the check, and Hawks gives me back my money and shakes his head. He gives me a look, and I leave a tip and walk out. Seriously, it's 11 already? He just laughs and asks,"Need me to walk you home?"

No, I got it, but thanks for supper, I guess. He nods, and we go different ways. I walk down an alleyway when I can tell there's people following me. Shit. I look back and see a group of men. I go to fly away when one grabs my wing and yanks me to the ground.  S-stay away from me.

The men just look at each other, and one uses his quirk, and it's hard to move. I start trying to crawl back. Tears start rolling down my cheeks, and that's when I hear a man clear his throat. Next thing I know, all the men catch in blue flames. T-Touya?

He comes running over, and I hug him as tight as I can and just sob into his shoulder. He picks me up and brings me into his room. He notices my bags and hands me some pajamas. I-I-I still can't move one of their quirks. He nods, and he helps me and sees the tattoo.

He just hugs me, and I can tell he's tearing up. I look up at him, and he shakes his head and says,"I-I can't believe this y-you, I'm sorry." It's not your fault. And hey, I failed twice. He shakes his head and says,"The Medusa I could've stopped him." I-I don't know about that.

I just curl up into him and start to drift off. I'm glad I found you, Touya. He plays with my hair and says,"I'm glad I found you too, penny. Seriously, still, that nickname im not money ? He just chuckled, and I fell asleep.
