Chapter 3

MYSTIC FALLS-FIELD-DAY
[Knight is slowly walking toward group.]
Lizzie: Now, then. What if one of you just grabs the sword and vamps it away?
Nimue: The Green Knight shall follow his challenger to the ends of the earth, carving a swath of death and destruction in its path. [Jed walks to group with a limp.]
"Idiot. Why did you jump at it like that!" Scolded Audrey.
Kaleb: Yeah, that. So... not an option.
Wade: I brought the sword here, so I should be the one to face him. [Knight growls.]
Wade: Unless someone has a better idea. Anyone? Someone? Please?
People look at Wade slightly amused.
Lizzie: You heard the Little Mermaid. Beating this thing isn't about who's at fault, it's about who's worthy.
MG: You know what? Dr. Saltzman put me in charge, so...
Alyssa: Throwing a field day doesn't make that sweet ass of yours worthy. True worthiness comes from being kindhearted, compassionate, considerate. So thank you, Lizzie, for reminding us all that your sister exemplifies those qualities. It should be her who faces an honorable death against Gigantor over there.
"My daughter isn't going near that thing!" Said Caroline.
Lizzie: You know just as much as I do that Josie is the least worthy person here, even if she did do us all a huge favor by getting rid of you. Because, for the record, you're a killer, too. But hey, at least your parents aren't here to see what you've become. [Alyssa looks hurt and looks at people for them to say something, but no oen does.]
"That was too far." Said Hope.
"I can't believe no one spoke up against Lizzie." Said Audrey disappointed.
Alyssa: If that's how you really see me, then I guess I don't belong here anymore. So I'm Team Monster now. Good luck beating one without me. [Alyssa leaves.]
Lizzie: Jo, I'm sorry. It shouldn't have come out that way.
Josie: You were just being honest, so I should be, too. Alyssa was right. It has to be me.
"Absolutely not." Said Caroline.
"You don't even have magic. Stay where you are!" Said Damon.
Lizzie: Like hell...
Josie: Lizzie, this is exactly what you wanted. It's what you've been trying to make me do all day, a hero move to show everyone how sorry I am and that I belong at the school.
"It's not worth of your life!" Said Stefan.
Lizzie: You don't have any magic. What good will being back be if you're dead?
Josie: It's a risk I'm willing to take. It's the same risk that you, Hope, everyone made to bring me back from the darkness. So I have to prove that it was worth it. So please, don't try to stop me.
"I didn't save you, so you would kill yourself." Said Hope.
Lizzie: Fine. Have it your way. But you're not doing it alone. [Both Josie and Lizzie grab Excalibur and try to take it out with no success.]
Lizzie: Okay. Well?
Nimue: Only Excalibur may defeat the Green Knight, and only a worthy champion may wield it.
"Well, excuse me for not having Thor in Mystic falls!" Said annoyed Caroline.
Lizzie: Son of a bitch. Okay. Anything else that you would like to share with the group?
AXE THROWING MYSTIC- MYSTIC FALLS-DAY
[Lela takes off blind fold from Hope.]
Lela: And we are here. [Hope looks around.]
Hope: What--
Lela: I know you love axes, so i thought you might like it. Here. Try it. [Lela hands Hope an Axe. Hope takes it.]
"Lovely place." Said Freya.
Hope: Okaay. I just throw it?
Lela: Yep. [Hope aims at the center and throws axe. She gets bullseye. Lela's mouth drops open.]
"That was beautiful." Said Hayley.
"You are really good at this." Said Klaus.
"Axe is one of the hardest weapon to use. You have good mastery of it." Said Elijah.
"Thanks." Said Hope.
Lela: H- How?!
Hope: (smirking) I love axes, remember?
Lela: That was hot. [Hope chuckles and hands axe to Lela.]
Hope: Your turn.
Lela: Okay. I want it to be known i have never done this before. So you aren't allowed to make fun of me. [Hope raises her arms in surrender while smilling. Lela throws an axe, it hits with the handle.]
Lela: (pouting) I thought i would do it better.
Hope: You just threw it wrong. Let me help. [Hope hand Lela axe. Then she corrects Lela's posture.]
Hope: Don't pull hand to hard to not strain a muscle, but put strength into throw. Not the supernatural one. [Lela nods. Hope still has hands on Lela's hips since she corrected her stence.]
Lela: You have to let me go for that. No?
Hope: (blushing) Sorry. [Hope lets her go. Lela looks at her amused.]
"Cute." Said Davina.
[Lela throws axe. It barely hits target.]
Lela: (yells) I did it!!
Hope: (smiling) You did. You are natural. [Hope kisses Lela. Then she goes to grab axe.]
MYSTIC FALLS-FIELD-DAY
[Kaleb is trying to pull Excalibur out with vampire strength, but fails. Knight is slowling walking toward them.]
Josie: What are we gonna do? We've all tried and we're officially out of time.
Mood drops in the room.
Nimue: You led me to believe that you were capable of vanquishing monsters.
Josie: We usually are, but our main champions are busy.
Nimue: Then there is no hope?
Lizzie: That's the whole point. We're not worthy. But we all know who are.
So where the hell are Mikaelson Twins when you need them?
Audrey and Hope smirk.
"Can't leave a day without us, can they?" Said Audrey smugly.
"Day? Not even hour." Joked back Hope. Mikaelson twins chuckle.
MG: I wish I was wrong, but we have to prepare ourselves for that. We have to save the day this time and the only way to do that is together. United. So please, just believe in me half as much as I believe in you and we can get through this.
Nimue: I do not believe you will. Not unless the blood of kings runs through your veins.
Lizzie: Hold up. (Chuckles) That is what you think being worthy means?
Nimue: Yes. It is the very definition.
"She is saying information too late... Again!!" Said Caroline.
Josie: Okay, boomer, maybe in your time.
Lizzie: And yet again, information that would have been useful before now.
[Knight growls.]
Nimue: The fact remains, Excalibur was tainted, and now your world will pay the price. [Thunder crashes.]
MG: Listen, I don't care what some lady, skulking around in ponds, distributing swords, thinks of us. No offense. We are worthy. We just got to prove it.
Nimue: A rousing sentiment. But I am not the one you must convince.
"Is she being annoying on purpose?" Said Caroline.
Lizzie: Okay, it's not exactly how I pictured dying, but what the hell?What's the plan, MG?
MG: Kaleb, Jed, Wade? Grab that rope and see if you can slow him down. Wonder Twins... protect the sword.
Josie: Wait, what are you gonna do?
[MG looks at her.]
Josie: Something stupid. Got it.
People look worried at children.
[MG hits knight with super strength. It makes knight just turns the check.]
SALVATORE SCHOOL-CARLOS'S DORM-DAY
[Davina and Audrey are standing in Carlos's room. Carlos opens his eyes and sees Davina and Audrey looking down at him.]
Carlos: (smirks) Missed me? [Audrey laughs and hugs him.]
"Asshole." Said Audrey fondly.
MYSTIC FALLS-FIELD-DAY
[Kaleb, MG, Jed and Wade are holding back knight.]
Wade: It's not working.
MG: Not with that attitude. Just give it everything you've got. We believe in you, buddy. Right, Kaleb?
Kaleb: What? Hell yeah. Yeah, yeah, we believe in you, Wade. Just put your back into it, all right?
Audrey and Hope chuckle at Kaleb.
MG: All of us together.
Lizzie: Incendium! [Lizzie throws fire at Knight, but it doesn't affect him.]
Josie: He's immune to fire, so you just pissed him off. Try immobilus. [Kol, Landon, Ryan and Rafael arrive.]
Lizzie: That's what I've been saying all day. Immobilus! [Knight freezes for a second, others relax their grips, Knight starts thrushing.]
"Magic doesn't work on him. Got it." Said Marcel.
MG: Hold on! [Kaleb, Jed and Wade hold him back. MG hits him and throws away his helmet. Knight growls and throws MG away.]
Kol: Hold him back with full strength. [Kaleb, Jed and Wade pull knight back and grunt.]
Kol: Ryan. [Ryan nods. Kol grabs him and vamp-speeds themselves to Knight. Knight thrushes around, but Kol helps others hold the Green Knight back by grabbing and stoping Knight's right hand from moving with his super strength. Ryan touches creature and starts consuming. Jed, Kaleb and Wade look shocked at Ryan who finished consuming Green knight. Sky gets clean.]
"You and Ryan are good team." Said Audrey to Kol impressed.
Kol: Good job, boys!
Jed: (to Ryan) You okay?
Ryan: (grinning) Never better.
Nimue: (surprised) They did it.
MG: Told you we could do it.
[Rafael goes to MG, who is still laying on ground. Rafael leans on sword with one hand and gives another to MG.]
Rafael: Need a hand?
MG: Yeah. [MG grabs Rafael's hand. Rafael pulls him up and with MG he pulls sword out to and stumbles back. Everyone who saw it look at him shocked.]
MG: Your royal highness?
"He is royal?" Asked Marcel surprised.
[Nimue kneels before Rafael.]
Nimue: The worthy one has arrived.
[Rafael looks at kneeling Nimue awkwardly and holds his hand out.]
Rafael: Um... please... get up. [Nimue takes his hand and stands up.]
Rafael: Um... I'm guessing this is yours. [Rafael holds out Excalibur to Nimue.]
Nimue: No, it is rightfully yours, as you are a descendant of Arthur. Do better with it than your ancestors did and I will never need return. [Nimue turns into water and disappears. Wade raises his hand.]
Wade: (quietly) Bye.
"That was... interesting." Said Freya.
Landon: Man! You are a king. [Grinning Rafael swings the sword.]
Rafael: You are supposed to kneel... in the presence of king.
Landon: My apologies, your Majesty. [Landon bows. Rafael and Landon laugh.]
People smile at them.
[Landon sees Ryan walking toward group and goes to him.]
Landon: You were awesome, bro. Saved the day and all. [Ryan glances at Rafael and then looks back to Landon.]
Ryan: Thank you.
Kol: (to group) Care to explain what happened here before we arrived? [Group looks at Kol and start talking. Kol raises his hand to silence them.]
Kol: One at a time.
"I can't believe i became teacher." Said Kol.
"Well, you were teacher before, no? You have taught witches." Said Audrey.
"That's different." Said Kol.
"Not really." Said Hope.
