CHAPTER 24

AYAAN-

Saying our goodbyes to Delhi, we moved to Manali the next day in 10 hrs. Due to the exhausting travel , all of us took a nap in respective room. It wasn't so tiring after taking a look at the beautiful wooden cottages, the mountains peeking through the sky, setting sun signing off for the day, the cold climate and the campfire at the center of the cottages. 

This is what we define a trip.

In the morning , The scene was so ethereal and enchanting, there were no words to describe it. I stretch myself walking on to the grass and looking at the spectacular mountains covered in snow. Breathing in the fresh air and sipping a hot coffee in chilly weather.

"Such an irresistible combo!"

"Except for the freezing climate." I hear Sasha behind me. I turn towards her "Didn't the heaters work?" 

"Ofc they did. Else I would have turned into an ice block" 

I let out a chuckle "Coffee?" 

"Yes.. Just a sip" She takes a sip from my cup letting out a sound of relief.

"You were right, this is perfect." She hands me the cup before taking another sip.

"You guys are early" Isha speaks coming towards us followed by Yash.

"Didn't wanna miss the sunrise" I reply looking at the sun.

"Not too late enjoy it now" Yash speaks.

The sun is slightly above the horizon . It's light spreading through the dense air makes it more beautiful. 

The waiter comes to us handing the orders " Here's your order ma'am and sir" He places the tray on the table and leaves. 

Sasha and Yash grabs a cup of coffee each and Isha takes a glass of hot chocolate. 

"You still drink hot chocolate?" Yash blurts out.

Isha just shrugs and doesn't reply.

"Do you guys know each other before?" Sasha asks.

"Yea... Do you?" I question following Sasha.

"No." Isha retorts and looks back at Yash.

A while later , Diya joins us. We have our breakfast early and set off for the rest of the trip.

ISHA-

"You still drink hot chocolate?" Yash asks.

Oh my ! He still remembers that. Wierdo

I roll my eyes at him and shrug. When Sasha asked if we knew each other I put her down. I didn't want them or anyone to know about us. I don't know why. I look at Yash just trying to read his mind but I was unsuccessful.

After the breakfast, we move to the local markets and stores. I try to find something which would remind me of this trip. I was happily shopping store by store where I found few stuffed toys which adorable until I come across a panda. I take out a puppy keychain from my bag which was a gift I bought on the day Yash saved me from the crash.

The puppy which reminded of the old memories.The day I met him for the first time ever. Back then a stray dog used roam around the school. Once, it's leg got injured and was bleeding . Seeing the puppy in the terrible situation, I hurried and grabbed some first aid supplies from the medical store. By the time I reached, I saw a guy treating the poor puppy . I slowly approached him and helped him aiding the paw of the puppy. That was the moment he turned and looked at me. That was the moment I fell in love with those blue orbs. Probably love-at first-sight.

Later, that day, I got to know that we study in the same class. We used to take turns in feeding the puppy. We even named the pup as Leo. With this we used meet everyday and talk a lot. I miss those days.
