𝐉𝐎𝐇𝐍𝐍𝐘 𝐇𝐀𝐃𝐍'𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 yet but she hadn't expected him to be in a rush to see her or his parents— hell, she wouldn't blame him if he had decided to runaway. She had debated it multiple times back in California, her home state, but had ultimately decided against it. Her one reason: she didn't want to be alone.
With being new to this town she didn't know the people or the stereotypes, and there were always the stereotypical people. She figured, she wouldn't belong to either since she wasn't from around here, but she could always be wrong— she'd find out eventually.
With an unlit cigarette in hand she walked down the streets of Tulsa, searching for something to do. She was bored and Claudia and bored never mixed well. She always found herself in trouble when in that state of mind.
From the looks of it she was on the rich side of town, the houses here were big, clean-cut, and rich. She assumed, this was where her dad had been from when he used to live here in his "younger" days as he'd call it. He talked about how him and his buddies would all get together and go chase the "lower class" kids, according to him.
She cringed at the thought, wondering how somebody like her came from someone like that but then again they were the same in some ways— they desired to have fun ( though their ideas of fun were quite different ), were spontaneous, and at times used violence as the answer.
Though, she wasn't like him, she'd never hurt someone that she loves, or was supposed to love.
Up ahead, only a few yards away from where she was, were three boys, though the two taller ones seemed to be ganging up on the smaller one, pushing him back and forth and messing with him. It was like a wave of nausea washed over her. She wanted to do something, yet, at the same time she didn't want to risk creating any enemies. She had enough problems as it is.
But, when the kids eyes locked onto hers, practically pleading for her help she couldn't just leave him — fuck. Groaning, she thought of what to do. She could, A, walk up to them and kindly ask for them to leave the boy alone, B, start a fight, or C, do something dumb.
Humming quietly to herself as she stealthily walked towards them, waiting for an idea to arrive as she walked, she stumbled over a rock, alerting the other two boys of her presence. Like a deer in headlights she stood there, eyes wide as they all stared at her.
What to do, she thought, watching as the two older boys smirked, a dumb idea popping into their heads— Claudia was sure she wouldn't like it.
"Well hello there sweetheart–" The one boy started before being silenced by the shake of Claudia's head.
"Nope, don't wanna hear anything you have to say" She quipped, cringing at the thought of what he had been ready to say, or more like attempt to flirt.
"So why don't you just let this boy get on with his day, he doesn't look so happy to be here and if I'm being honest I can see why" She continued, eyeing the two boys in disgust, earning two angered looks, and a small laugh from the smaller boy.
The two boys shot her an irritated look before shaking their heads, "No, I think we're doing just fine, him included." The tallest one spoke, nodding towards the timid boy they had been bothering, making Claudia grumble as she realized they weren't going to just let the boy leave. Of course, boys these days just couldn't learn to let it go and leave people alone.
"Well shit" she breathed, preparing herself for what she was about to do, already knowing it was an utterly awful idea that was bound to put her first two names down on her enemy list for this town.
