𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐀 ( 𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐈𝐀 ), 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍 was being forced to move to the middle of bum-fuck nowhere, to live with her aunt and uncle— along with her cousin. Her parents, having decided that they were tired of dealing with her troublesome personality had finally given up and sent her off.
Just her luck.
It had been years since she had seen her uncle and she knew deep down, ( just like her parents did ), he was a deadbeat. Its not like they were much better, considering her fathers violent tendencies and her mothers drug addiction— actually, the more she thought about it the more she realized they were worse in comparison to her uncle. According to her outdated knowledge at least. Her aunt on the other hand, well, she didn't know much about.
However, she had a small and i mean small remembrance of what her cousin, Johnny, was like. He was small and timid, sort of like her in a few ways, but that could all be different now.
But all of that didn't matter because in the next few minutes she'd be finding out just what her aunt and uncle were truly like, Johnny included.
Standing at the doorstep, infront of the beat down house that looked like it could use some remodeling, screaming could be heard. Claudia hesitated, her fist coming to a halt before it could meet the door, the idea of knocking to alert them that she had arrived completely exiting her thoughts.
So that was what they were like— loud and violent. Much like her own parents.
Without much time to think the door was swung open and a darker haired boy came stumbling out, crashing into her, sending them both onto the ground. During the fall a yelp had escaped her lips before she hit the ground, landing on her back.
A woman's angered yelling soon followed, frightening both her and Johnny, the two quickly sitting back up. While Claudia stared ahead the front door, her cousin, Johnny, stared at her— curiosity and bewilderment in his eyes, wondering why his cousin was here.
"Oh, Claudia" her aunt exclaimed, her angered look being replaced by fake shock as she came to stand in the doorway. "I didn't know you were going to be here so soon." She explained, eyeing her son very carefully, almost like she was telling him to either leave or keep quiet.
Claudia, unsure of what to say shrugged, before pushing herself back onto her feet. Still, Johnny layed there, staring up at the girl he hadn't seen in years, deeply confused by her presence.
"So uh, could you just show me where my room is" Claudia asked, eyeing her cousin and aunt suspiciously, planning on asking questions about what the hell had happened in that house moments prior. It certainly wasn't anything good and she knew that by the way Johnny did his best to stay out of his mother's sight, hiding behind his cousins frame.
Just by her cousins actions, her question was answered— she knew all too well what it was like to be afraid of your own parents. Glancing at her younger cousin she smiled, attempting to comfort him, before turning her head to look at her aunt, her expression morphing into a scowl.
"Actually, why don't you just take these" Claudia paused, walking over to her bags, picking them up she shoved them into her aunts hands. "And take them to my room" She exclaimed, bitterly.
"Excuse me" Her aunt hissed, eyebrows furrowing. "And where do you think you're going." She inquired, narrowing her eyes at the girl, watching Claudia walk towards Johnny, offering the boy a hand, to which he accepted. Once he was back on his feet Claudia turned around.
"On a walk" She said, forcing a tight lipped smile. Grabbing her cousin by his arm, she pulled him along with her as she walked off, looking over her shoulder to find her aunt with an angered look before she stormed off, into the house, with Claudia's bags in hand.
