Chapter One: The Point of Freedom: Deadly Life-Part Two: Class Trial

"Now then, let's begin with a simple explanation of the Class Trial!" Mononounncer was ecstatic. During the Class Trial, you will present your arguments for who the killer is, and vote for whodunnit! If you vote correctly, only the Blackened will receive punishment! But if you pick the wrong person... I'll punish everyone besides the Blackened, and that person graduate!"

"Just one question." TB said, "What is this...?" He pointed next to him.

It was a picture of Spongy, with a large X drawn in blood over it. Well, it could've been paint...Nah, it's Mononounncer. Definitely blood.

"I'd hate for him to get left out just cause he's dead!" It explained, "Now, he can watch you all try to give him justice!"

"...Right."

"So, where do we start?" Pen asked.

"Well, we know that the murderer snapped Spongy's neck, so there isn't a murder weapon we can go off of." Golfball noted, "With that in mind, I say we start with the struggle."

"Huh? Are you sure?" Blocky questioned, "I mean, I know we should take it slow for our first time, but isn't that a little...too slow?"

"No, she's right!" Pin nodded. "Not a lot of us would have a hard time against Spongy, so I can imagine that whoever the killer is is strong enough to snap a neck, but weak enough to have a hard time doing it. Plus, GB said during the investigation that Spongy was stabbed, too, which is much harder than trying to break someone's neck with your bare hands since you can't catch them from behind. That way, we can eliminate Eraser, and Blocky!"

"Do you think Spongy knocked over something that we could use as a clue?" Coiny asked.

GB pondered that for a moment, before shaking her head. "I doubt it. The locations of the stuff on the ground and of the body didn't seem connected. Even if Spongy could think like that, it would have most likely been in his final moments, and his body would have been next to the knocked over object."

"...Right. Sure. Mhm. That's correct. Affirmative. Exactly."

"Wow, her and Pin are really good at this deduction stuff..." I thought to myself.

"Okay, so we've narrowed it down to six people." TB clarified.

"Mhm. Does anyone else have any evidence they'd like to share?"

"Well, I sorta do." Pen said, "I think I might've...seen the killer."

"...Why didn't this come up before?" GB asked.

"Cause I wasn't sure!" He sighed. "Anyways, from what I could see, someone went into the classroom Spongy died in. I think they were...I think probably over 5'5. And, Leafy helped me cross out Firey and Woody from that. Actually, now that I say it out loud, I'm pretty sure they were leaving, not entering."

"That'd make more sense, since if they stabbed Spongy, they'd have to wash off the blood."

"So, down to five." Icy nodded.

"One more thing." I pulled out the note we found in Spongy's hand, and read it out loud to everyone.

"I think someone is trying to kill you. Please meet me in Class 2-A to talk about it."

"And, this was in Spongy's hand?" TB guessed. I nodded.

Pin's eyes suddenly widened, "Hey, that—!"

"Wait! Before we continue..." Needle rose her hand, "I'm almost positive that Flower is involved in this case!"

"Why do you say that?" Teardrop asked, "I mean, she has an alibi."

"I don't think she killed him, but I think that she probably set up the crime."
