The mindscape

1st person pov

darkness. I don't know if it's because my eyes are closed or because light is non-existent. How long have I been out for?

"Ah, you're awake," a voice says from behind me. I try to turn around to see him but I can't move. I can't feel any part of my body. "right this is your first time within the mindscape of the beginning. Don't worry, you're not dead, yet at least. Thank your genetics for that." the voice continues. I hear it moving around me, and then it's right in front of me. Some sort of demon. I'm unable to make out the details.

"don't talk (Y/n). For now, you just need to listen. Sooner or later you will need to wake up for a little bit to save your sister from multiple different things" the demon says. I panic as he talks about Luz being in danger. "But I will help you understand the magic of this world, but for right now we are going to watch something incredible."

All of a sudden a bright light appears. It nearly blinds me but luckily the demon, next to me now, puts his clawed hand in front of my eyes. "commencing the creation of the elements. Entity representation: Dragons. number of attributes: 12. Creation completed." As the new voice is finished 12 dragons of different depictions appear and then they fly away. The light from earlier fades and it goes back to darkness.

"Now (Y/n) I'll give you a little bit of my power to go into an astral form. You need to show this glyph to Luz in some way to help her." the demon draws out some sort of triangular glyph, "if you can show this to your sister, I will show you more about magic, and how you can use it. now go hurry." he finishes

with a blinding light I realize I'm back in the demon realm, back in the owl house. I look down and see my body lying on a bed with a tether connecting my astral form to my real body. I then hear a crash from upstairs. I instinctively start rising towards the crash. I see King and Luz hiding behind the tipped-over couch. I float right in front of them, but they can't see me.

"I can't my camera's all busted" Luz whispers to King

"Then... what about the light spell?" King asks.

She sighs, "You saw me. I can't draw circles in the air. I'm not like Eda." Luz plays a video of Eda performing the light spell. Without wasting any time I shove my hand into Luz's phone glitching out the video. In the middle of Eda's spell circle, there was the glyph the demon showed me.

Gasping "There's a pattern in the spell circle." Luz grabs a leaf and places it over her phone, but I'm suddenly pulled back to where my body is. I watch as a giant demon-looking monster is about to eat my body when I hear Luz yell out "I just did magic" The sound of her voice grabs the attention of the beast leaving my body alone. Then darkness overtakes my vision again.

'Please be ok Luz' I think to myself.

"aw that's nice," said something in the darkness. I recognize the voice. It's the demon from earlier.

'wait you can hear me' I think aloud.

"only your outer thought, the thought you want to say. Everything else I can not hear," he says. I'm shocked for a second because now I can make out his facial features. "and before you ask I am King's dad and this is the space between" he gestures to the broken space around us.

'I have so many questions but I have one main question. What did you mean I should thank my genetics that I'm still alive.' I project out. 'I thought I was human'

with a sigh, King's dad responds "You're not a full-blooded human. your half human, but also a #&*%%$&% someone." I look at him confused, "I guess you didn't hear what I said, but that makes sense. Let me explain better." he sits down on a nearby rock.
