The Park

Cas takes me to a park meant for tweens, so it's easy for me to get on a swing and listen to music on my phone. I listened to Black Veil Brides and Bring Me The Horizon. I had listened to about three songs when I noticed there was a teenager about the same age and size as me on the other side of the swing set, crying. I turned off my music and went over to her. "Hi. I'm Raven. I was just wondering what's wrong and if there's anything I can do to help." I say with my most sincere smile.
"I'm Alyss. My younger brother, Ben, found out that I am emo and he wouldn't stop calling me names and he's been doing this for months. He calls me a fag, a bitch, worthless, and other stuff. I just couldn't take it anymore so I ran to this park, I've grown up here. This place makes me feel safe." Alyss said.
"I'm here now Alyss, I'm emo also. I wish I knew what it's like to be abused by family but I'm one of the lucky emos. My family loves me, when I came out as pansexual to them, they were very accepting and loving. What bands do you listen to?" I say.
"Black Veil Brides, Sleeping With Sirens, Being Me The Horizon, Pierce The Veil, Motionless in White, and other bands like that. I'm bisexual." Alyss responded, calming down some more.
"Me too. I want In The End to be played at my funeral." I say.
"Nice. What tv shows do you watch?"Alyssa asks.
"Doctor Who, Once Upon A Time, Arrow, and Agents of SHIELD." I reply.
Alyss and I talked for hours, swinging and talking and bonding. She's so pretty and funny and smart. I think to myself. My phone rings. "That's my dad, give me a minute." I say to Alyss before I answer the phone.
"Hey dad." I say after answering.
"Where are you? Is Cas with you?" Dad demands.
"I'm at a park and yes Cas is with me. I don't know exactly where we are, just somewhere in America." I answer.
"I'm gonna call Cas now. See you when you get home." He hangs up.
I walk back over to my purse and put my phone back. "Sorry about that, my dad was worried. So, I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go out on a date with me sometime?" I ask, nervously biting my lip.
"I would love that." Alyss replies.
"How does tonight at eight sound? I'll take you to a nice dinner. I can't drive yet but I have a motor scooter." I said.
"That sounds great." Alyss replies.
"Raven, we need to go home." Cas said while walking over to us. "Dean wants your help with something."
"I'll see you tonight." I say smiling at Alyss then walking for a while with Cas until it's safe to zap out.
