"Dad! Where are you?!" I screamed in terror.
"Raven calm down! Now, what's wrong?" Dad said, pinning my arms to my side.
"There's something stuck to my shoe." I said, my eyes getting wide.
"How sticky?" Dad asked.
"Extremely." I said beginning to shake.
"Go get Ben and Alyss and go into your closet. Quickly." Dad said.
"My closet?" I asked.
"Just go!" Dad said.
I got Alyss and Ben and we went into my closet and I felt something stabbing into my shoulder blade. I pulled on a metal rod and a door opened. There was a whole other room! It was stashed with non-perishable food, clothes, and everything we need to survive.
"Dean must've done this." Ben said.
"He must have. Why didn't he tell us about this?" I said.
"Maybe it was to keep us safe." Alyss said.
"Wouldn't knowing about this be keeping us safe?" I said.
"Then I don't know! You didn't even tell us why we're hiding here." Alyss said, overwhelmed.
"There was someone or something following me. It was terrifying." I said.
"Then why did you scream for Dean?" Ben asked.
"So whoever or whatever was following me would think I was just letting him know I was home. I used the code phrase." I said, eating a bag of potato chips.
"You still scared the shit out of him." Ben said.
"If something was following you wouldn't you be terrified?" I snapped at Ben.
"Alright. Just calm down. Come here. What did the person or thing look like?" Ben said, hugging me.
"It looked like a person, female, they looked ghostly. Extremely pale with the darkest hair ever, their hair was down to their hips. Tall and fit. Green eyes. That's all I remember." I said.
"So, a paler version of you?" Alyss said.
"Oh my God. Yes. A paler version of me. Oh my God. How did I not realize?" I said. "Do you think there's a bed in here? I need to lay down."
Ben and Alyss led me over to a mattress that only had a sheet and a pillow.
"What am I supposed to do?" I said, curling up in a ball.
"Stay here. That's what you're supposed to do. We're all gonna stay here until Dean comes to get us. And we know for sure it's Dean." Alyss said.
"Raven. It was a ghost following you. It's your sister." Dad came in.
"Of course. That makes sense." I said, uncurling a little.
"She's been with you since she died. She never left. All she wants to do is be with you for the rest of your life, and then she'll move on, with you. Like she always planned." Dad said.
"His did she age? Seriously, how?" I asked.
"Why don't you come down stairs and find out for yourself." Dad said.
"Do I have to?" I asked.
"She will only move on if you convince her or if you die. Go talk to her. It's safe." Dad said.
We all went downstairs into the living room, where my sister stood encircled by salt.
"Linnet. I haven't spoken to you since we were six." I said.
"You used to call me Linny. I've missed you." Linny said.
"I remember. I've missed you too. Why haven't I been able to see you until now? And how did you age?" I asked.
"Because it wasn't vital until now. All the wandering spirits have been talking, and, you are being targeted by demons because you're a Winchester. Raven Jade Braeden-Winchester. I don't know how I aged." Linny said.
"Linny what the hell are you talking about? Why would I be targeted?" I asked.
"RJ, you know why. Think." Linny said.
"Because the likelihood of me following in dad's footsteps is very high? But I don't plan to. I'm going to be a psychiatrist." I said, confused.
"That doesn't matter. You're a Winchester. You need to be safe. Carry weapons with you everywhere. Even to school." Linny said.
"I can't carry a gun to school." I said.
"No, but you can carry water guns and salt shakers." Linny said.
"Linny this is ridiculous. Salt shakers? That's not enough. The salt shaker refiller is more like it." I said.
"There you go RJ." Linny said. "I've missed this. The two of us playing hunters. Ben playing the demon. I miss it. Why did you stop?"
"Because you weren't apart of it. You kept the storyline going." I said. "Without you participating, it wasn't as much fun." Ben said.
"Is this seriously how this is going to go? Linnet is just going to follow my girlfriend around? I don't think so. Linnet has to move on to the next life." Alyss said.
"Alyss this is my sister. Linny this is my girlfriend Alyss." I made introductions. "Alyss, Linny and I didn't part on the best of terms. I was angry because she didn't want to see dad anymore. I did. We had a huge fight." I said.
"That was nine years ago." Alyss said.
"That doesn't mean it still doesn't hurt. It does, Alyss. Just give us some time." I said. Alyss, Ben, and dad left Linny and I alone.
"I'm not going to my next life without you. I won't." Linny said.
"Linny, I love you, but you have to. If you don't move on, how am I supposed to heal? I can't live my life if you don't move on. I'll blame myself. You have to." I said.
"RJ don't ask this of me. I'll feel guilty if I leave you behind." Linny said.
"Linny don't do this. Don't guilt trip me. You wouldn't be leaving me behind. You'd be doing what you're supposed to do. Please. Do it for me." I plead.
"I can't. I wouldn't be able to leave you." Linny said.
"Please. I won't be able to live my life with you in the back of my mind." I said.
"Raven you've been living just fine!" Linny got upset.
"I've had trouble living since you were murdered. The only reason I've been doing really well recently is because I have Alyss. Alyss has made my life so much easier. I'll be fine Linny. Please. Move on." I pleaded.
"Are you sure? Really sure?" Linny said, beginning to cave.
"Yes. I love you, Linny. I'll be fine. I promise." I said.
"Okay. I love you too. Have a good life." Linny said. "You need to break the salt circle. I can't get out until you do."
I broke the circle and Linny didn't move on like she said she would. Dad and I went after her, found her, and we convinced her together to move on.
