Another beautiful morning dawned over Vynra Village, where life began as it always did, with villagers bustling and going about their routines. Yet, a lingering presence in the shadows hinted at something hidden from the people’s view.

Meanwhile, Alex awoke from a deep slumber, slowly sitting up while stretching and yawning. Realizing the sun was already high, he leapt out of bed, hurriedly dressing for his usual morning jog. "Strange," he thought, "Reggy didn’t wake me up this time." Shrugging it off as Reggy having left early, Alex made his way outside.

Just as he stepped into the yard, a familiar sound caught his attention—the sharp clash of wood against wood. Curious, he moved toward the backyard, and there, he found Reggy sparring with Clay. Alex rubbed his eyes to be sure. "Clay? Sparring with Master?"

The scene was intense: Reggy and Clay moved with precision, each strike met with a quick parry or dodge, both of them exuding a refined aura as they infused their attacks with mana. Watching in awe, Alex felt a pang of envy as he recalled his own sparring sessions with Reggy. His matches hadn’t come close to this level of complexity or finesse. Quietly, he settled on the ground, studying their movements in the hopes of learning something new.

The fight continued with neither Reggy nor Clay giving any ground. Each move seemed calculated, almost as if they anticipated each other’s actions. Finally, they both paused, facing each other from a distance. Clay looked winded, her breath heavy, while Reggy seemed as relaxed as ever, resting his wooden sword on his shoulder.

“That was incredible, Clay,” said Reggy with an approving nod. “Let’s take five.”

Clay gave a quick nod, catching her breath as she moved toward a nearby stump. Just then, her gaze shifted, and she spotted Alex watching them from the ground.

“Alex?!” she exclaimed, surprised.

“Hey,” he waved, smiling.

“Did you see all that?” Reggy asked, catching sight of Alex too.

“Every bit of it,” Alex replied, still entranced by the skill he’d just witnessed.

“So, what did you think?” Reggy asked, smirking as he gauged Alex’s reaction.

“It was...amazing,” Alex replied honestly. “I learned so much just from watching. But Master...”

Both Reggy and Clay leaned in, curious about what he’d say next.

Alex broke into a wide grin. “I’m so jealous! I want to be able to fight like that too!”

Reggy and Clay laughed, amused by his earnest reaction. Patting him on the shoulder, Reggy said, “Stick with your training, and you’ll get there soon enough. You’re already making great progress.”

“Alex!” Clay chimed in, suddenly serious.

“Yeah?” he turned to her, wondering why she looked so intense.

“Why didn’t you tell me you’re training under Mr. Reggy?” she demanded.

“Does it matter?” he replied, a bit perplexed.

“Of course, it does! I’m jealous you get to learn directly from the legendary Reggy!” she exclaimed, a hint of admiration in her tone.

Alex glanced at Reggy, who simply shrugged, wearing a modest but slightly proud smile.

“Ah, so you knew of me from my days with the Kingdom?” Reggy asked, piecing things together.

Clay looked down, slightly embarrassed. “Yeah...you were kind of my inspiration. I was just a kid when I first saw you in action.”
