Reggy and his team advanced cautiously through the winding dungeon corridors, their senses sharpened by the oppressive silence. The group had split into two teams beforehand, anticipating the need to cover multiple paths if the dungeon split. So far, only one route presented itself, dark and narrow, forcing them to press together as they proceeded. Strange, sinister sounds echoed from further within, unsettling everyone with eerie whispers and distant, guttural growls.
Finally, they reached a chamber where a pack of massive, boar-like beasts clustered together, their shaggy bodies filling the space in a haphazard circle. These were no ordinary beasts—they had a feral, unnatural look, as if twisted by the dungeon’s magic. Reggy signaled for the group to halt, then turned to them with a calm but serious expression.
"Second team, stay alert but don’t engage directly," he instructed. "Your role is to guard our rear and watch for any surprises."
Glenn, leading the second team, nodded in agreement. "Understood," he replied, his face steeled with focus.
Reggy then addressed the first team. "Here’s the plan. I’ll sprint in and draw the attention of five of the beasts, luring them a bit further down the corridor. That’ll leave one isolated near you. While I keep the others occupied, you’ll eliminate the lone beast swiftly. We need this executed precisely. Once it’s down, I want you to cast a spell barrage to redirect the herd’s focus from me back toward you all."
Glenn frowned, slightly concerned. "You’re planning to face five of these monsters alone?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry. "I know what you’re capable of, Reggy, but this seems... ambitious."
Reggy smiled, a glint of confidence in his eyes. "Trust me on this. Just make sure your side handles that first target quickly."
Glenn hesitated but ultimately nodded. "All right. We trust you, but no heroics, okay?"
Reggy continued, "When you have their attention, I’ll be able to strike from behind. That way, we create a pincer movement, making it harder for the beasts to defend."
One of the adventurers, visibly tense but curious, piped up. "So the idea is for you to get into their blind spot?"
Reggy nodded. "Exactly. But remember, the success of this strategy hinges on all of us working together. Once that first beast is down, our advantage will be in quickly rotating our focus, disorienting them so they can’t fully regroup. I’ll act as the initial decoy, but I’ll need you all to act fast."
With their plan set, Reggy took a deep breath, squared his shoulders, and launched himself forward. The beasts turned toward him instantly, their snorts and growls growing louder as he led them away. The remaining beast, confused and separated, looked around defensively. The first team sprang into action, coordinated and precise, launching a swift assault that overwhelmed the lone creature.
As the creature fell, Glenn’s team unleashed a wave of spells toward the main pack, just as Reggy instructed. The sudden attack caught the beasts off-guard, splitting their attention as some turned back toward the first team. Reggy seized the moment, surging forward to strike from behind, his blade flashing with deadly accuracy. The beasts, trapped between attacks from both sides, couldn’t adapt fast enough to defend, and the group swiftly wore them down.
The battle ended in heavy breaths and triumphant nods.
One of the younger adventurers in Glenn’s team leaned toward him, whispering, "Guildmaster, why didn’t Reggy have us join the attack directly?"
Glenn offered a slight smile. "In dungeon fights, the more narrow the space, the more vital it is for someone to stand guard, especially in an unknown environment. If we were ambushed or surrounded here, we’d have no escape. Reggy placed us as the watch team because he knew someone needed to be vigilant."
The adventurer nodded, thoughtful. "Makes sense... though I usually take simpler quests," he admitted, scratching his head sheepishly.
Glenn chuckled. "Then take this as a valuable lesson in dungeon tactics. Reggy knows what he’s doing."
Reggy approached them, catching the end of their conversation. He chuckled, playfully tapping the young adventurer’s shoulder. "Stick with us, and maybe you’ll pick up a trick or two. But remember," he added with a grin, "no slacking on the next round."
The group shared a moment of relief before readying themselves to press further, the dungeon’s mysteries and dangers still waiting just ahead. Then, they continue to go deeper with cautious.

Inside the Dungeon...
Reggy and his team had just finished taking down a massive, two-legged beast that looked like a towering bull with long, razor-sharp horns. The creature had put up an intense fight, and everyone was visibly exhausted, breathing heavily from the encounter. They paused to catch their breath, slumping against the rocky walls and sitting on the uneven ground.
"As expected of you, Mr. Reggy. You always know how to lead us through these battles," one of the adventurers remarked, wiping sweat from his brow.
"Yeah, if it were just me, I'd have given up the moment that thing charged at us," added another with a weary chuckle.
"Right? Reggy's battle instincts are something else," a third adventurer chimed in. "Handling a beast like that so effortlessly—honestly, who would’ve thought it was even possible?"
Reggy managed a small grin but kept his focus. “Take it easy, everyone, but stay alert. We’re still in enemy territory, and there’s no telling what else lurks here,” he advised, adjusting his grip on his weapon.
Glenn, who had been overseeing from the back, added, "This is a golden opportunity for all of you to learn. Watch how Reggy reads the room and the terrain. It'll serve you well, especially in dungeons like this."
After catching their breath, the group prepared to press on. Reggy led the way, his senses keen, as they ventured deeper into the winding, oppressive darkness of the dungeon. With each step, they felt a peculiar tingling energy crawling along their skin, raising the hairs on their arms. The air itself seemed to thicken, filled with a pulsing, dark energy that only grew stronger as they advanced.
As they descended further, strange details began to emerge in the dungeon's surroundings. They noticed veins of magical ore embedded in the walls, pulsating with a faint dark glow, casting eerie shadows. Twisted, unnatural plants—like elongated vines with thorny, spindly tendrils—grew along the stone, seeming to reach out to them. Glenn, taking in the unnatural aura around them, furrowed his brow.
"Everyone, stay on your guard," he cautioned, his voice low. "The aura is getting stronger. We’re definitely approaching something powerful.”
The adventurers tensed, gripping their weapons as the air around them thickened with anticipation.
