Dear Diary,
They apologized pretty quickly, saying it was their way of keeping things light and not letting the mood get too heavy. I can understand where they’re coming from, but I still told them that there are better ways to go about it. Making fun of someone’s situation, no matter what it is, never sits right with me. There’s a line, and I think it’s important we respect it.
Later, during our water break, I overheard them talking about a second year student like them, who scored a perfect score on a test but didn’t get full marks because of some deductions. Despite being familiar with what they're talking about, I didn’t say much, just listened in the background.
Turns out the paper was hers.
Yours truly,
Shinsuke.≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
