⌗ 28:
Dear Diary,
I got here early, just as I planned. The sun was barely up, and it was quiet, like it usually is at this hour. My backpack's packed with everything I might need for the next three days at camp-nothing missed, nothing forgotten. I like having this time alone to sit and settle myself before the day begins. It feels right.
I'm not sure if I'll get much time to write here during camp. Practice will keep us busy from dawn till dusk, and tired as we'll be by the end of it. I don't know if my thoughts will come together as clearly as they do now. Still, I'll try. Putting my thoughts in order here has become a habit I don't much want to break.
If I can't write each night, at least I'll remember all of it well enough to put down later. Every drill, every mistake, every lesson-it all sticks if you pay attention. And paying attention to these things is what makes us better.
Oh, by the way, Coach just arrived, and I think I hear some of the others too, so that's my signal to wrap this up for now
Yours truly,
Shinsuke.≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
