Dear Diary,
It was the last day before our three-day training camp, which was held in Nagano Prefecture and hosted by Kamomedai High. All of us seemed a bit on edge for some reason.
Maybe it was because we’re all contenders for the Spring Tournament, and it’s normal for us to feel spirited and competitive against each other, even though it was just a training session and not the actual event itself.
Today, Iwaizumi-san joined us at Coach Kurosu’s request for a more formal introduction as our temporary manager and to inform her about the things she needs to do.
At first, I was skeptical about this—not because I doubted her, but because I worried we were disturbing her time. What if she had something else to do, and she was here with us instead? But I guess I didn’t have to worry, as she said herself that she could handle it.
That’s when I found out that she’s a former manager of a volleyball team back in middle school, and a younger sister of an ace player in Miyagi Prefecture. I’m not sure if I’m right, but I think it was Aoba Johsai, and apparently, according to Omimi, it’s also a powerhouse school, second only to Shiratorizawa.
She’s really reliable and thoughtful, and I’m looking forward to having her at our training camp.
