9. Trouble ✓

A creaking noise from the kitchen stirred me from my sleep.

Why am I hearing noises outside when our room is literally soundproofed?

I jolted again from my position when I heard another noise which sounds like one of the cabinets were being closed. That's when I turned to look at the door's direction and realized it was left ajar.

Maybe Nayeon forgot to close it when she came in.

I carefully got up trying so hard not to wake a sleeping bunny who's literally clinging on my entire torso right now, her mouth slightly open with her cute bunny teeth on display.

She's probably tired from the outfit fitting earlier.

After leaving a kiss on her forehead, I approached the door with the intention to close it but then I got curious on who's in the kitchen right now seeing all the lights were off and it's literally past midnight if my guess is right.

That's when I saw someone running upstairs and was followed by frantic knocks just a little later.

Who the heck was that?! Did I just witness someone breaking into the dorm?!

I tried to find something I could use for self defense and the first thing my hands grabbed unto was the rolling pin in the kitchen. It took me a few seconds to clear my mind and calm my nerves which was a tough thing to do especially because I heard Jihyo's voice and a loud slam of the door.

Did that person got Jihyo? This can't be happening!!

I was about to follow the person upstairs when I heard another door open, this time it sounded nearby. Upon peeking from the above the table in the kitchen where I am currently hiding, another person came out of the laundry room ever so quietly making me hide further as that someone was also looking in my direction.

This time, I'm already trembling in fear and feel goosebumps creeping up my body as I heard that person's careful footsteps away from the kitchen. That person eventually entered one of the rooms as I heard a door click locked.

Thank goodness they didn't went straight to our room as Nayeon's still asleep there and I didn't lock the door.

I was contemplating whether I should check on Jihyo or call the authorities first when a set of steps from the stairs caught my attention which turns out to be Jihyo followed by Momo.

"To your room, now," she whispered with a hint of urgency.

We all rushed to Nayeon and I's room and locked the door immediately.

"Did you know about the intruder too?" I asked. I also woke Nayeon up and started a call in the GC to warn the others. Jihyo confirmed that the rest of the rooms in the second floor were locked indicating that the rest of us were still asleep.

"There's an intruder?" Nayeon finally catching up with our conversation. Meanwhile, Momo's still looking startled beside Jihyo and had her arms hooked on Jihyo's ever since we went in.

The girls finally answered the call with the last one being Chaeyoung. Tzuyu's also here since we've added her after the welcome party incident.
