Days turned into weeks, and the steady rhythm of hospital visits became part of Mingyu’s life. He’d show up every day, sometimes staying for hours just to keep Wonwoo company, even if it was in silence. The barrier between them remained, but cracks had started to appear in it. Sometimes, Mingyu would catch Wonwoo looking at him, his gaze softer than before, as if remembering what they used to be.

One evening, as Mingyu was helping Wonwoo with his dinner, their hands brushed. Wonwoo froze, and Mingyu looked at him, a flicker of hope in his eyes. The moment passed in silence, but it held a new warmth, a sign that perhaps, just maybe, they could start to heal.

Over time, the tension between them began to ease. Small gestures—Wonwoo’s quiet "thank you" when Mingyu brought his favorite coffee, or the way he allowed Mingyu to help him with little tasks—spoke volumes. It wasn’t a sudden shift, but a slow and delicate rebuilding, piece by fragile piece.

---

Meanwhile, things weren’t going so smoothly for Jun and Minghao. Their once easygoing connection had grown strained. Minghao felt as if Jun were constantly pushing him to commit when he wasn’t sure he was ready. And Jun, with his relentless confidence, was convinced that Minghao’s hesitance was a temporary setback. But it wasn’t that simple.

One night, the tension finally erupted. Jun, frustrated, confronted Minghao. “Why are you still holding back?” he demanded, his voice louder than he intended. “Every time I try to get close to you, it’s like you put up this wall. I thought you wanted this too.”

Minghao clenched his fists, his face pale but resolute. “I do, Jun, but I can’t just drop everything because you’re ready. This isn’t easy for me. I’m not like you—I don’t just dive in without thinking.”

Jun’s face hardened, hurt and anger mixing in his gaze. “You think I don’t take this seriously? That I’m just playing around?”

Minghao’s silence was answer enough. Without another word, Jun turned and stormed out, leaving Minghao standing alone, his heart sinking as the weight of his words settled on him.

---

The days following the fight were rough on Minghao. He found himself replaying every argument, wondering if he’d pushed Jun away for good. Jun was stubborn, but so was he, and neither of them seemed willing to make the first move toward reconciliation. Minghao’s friends noticed the change, but he brushed off their concerns, hiding his feelings behind a mask of indifference.

Wonwoo, however, wasn’t fooled. He found Minghao sitting alone one evening, a glass of water in hand, his expression distant. “You don’t have to go through this alone, you know,” Wonwoo said softly as he took a seat beside him.

Minghao glanced at him, trying to brush it off. “It’s nothing. Just a little misunderstanding.”

Wonwoo raised an eyebrow, a gentle smile on his face. “I know that look. I’ve been wearing it myself lately.” He paused, letting his words sink in. “You and Jun… you don’t have to throw away something good just because you’re both afraid to admit you care.”

Minghao let out a shaky breath. “It’s not that simple.”

“Maybe not,” Wonwoo agreed. “But if you don’t let him in, you’ll never know what you’re missing.”

---

Mingyu continued to rebuild their relationship, bit by bit. It was still fragile, like a delicate thread that could snap at any moment, but they were both committed to seeing it through. Mingyu went out of his way to prove his sincerity, his small gestures speaking louder than any apology could. And Wonwoo, though still wary, found himself drawn to Mingyu’s unwavering resolve. It was as if they were slowly finding their way back to each other, one hesitant step at a time.

One night, while they were watching a movie together in Wonwoo’s room, Mingyu reached over, tentatively taking Wonwoo’s hand. This time, Wonwoo didn’t pull away. Instead, he laced his fingers through Mingyu’s, his touch both hesitant and sure. Mingyu’s heart swelled with hope, and for the first time in a long while, he felt like maybe, just maybe, things would be okay.

Mingyu took Wonwoo in his lap.. put his hand on Wonwoo's cheek caressing it and gently placing kisses on it

" Darling , even tough you may not trust me whole right now,  but I will try until I die.." Mingyu placed a peck on Wonwoo's lips as wonwoo flustered

"Can we go on a date..Mingyu.." Wonwoo asked his voice shaky

"Anything and everything you want , darling.." Mingyu said in a gentle tone..

Elsewhere, Jun was struggling to focus. He couldn’t shake the feeling of loss gnawing at him after the fight with Minghao. His friends tried to cheer him up, but nothing seemed to lift his spirits. The realization hit him hard: he missed Minghao. Missed the easy laughter, the banter, the quiet moments they shared.

Finally, unable to bear it any longer, Jun decided to reach out. He showed up unannounced at Minghao’s door, his expression a mix of determination and vulnerability. Minghao’s eyes widened in surprise, but he didn’t shut the door. Instead, he stepped aside, letting Jun in without a word.

They stood there in silence, both unsure of what to say, until finally, Jun spoke, his voice uncharacteristically soft. “I’m sorry, Minghao. I was pushing too hard. I didn’t realize how much pressure I was putting on you.”

Minghao’s shoulders relaxed, the tension he’d been carrying for days easing at Jun’s words. “I’m sorry too,” he replied quietly. “I was scared. Scared of what it would mean to really let you in.”

Jun took a tentative step closer, his hand reaching for Minghao’s. “Then let’s take it slow. We don’t have to have it all figured out. Just… don’t shut me out, okay?”

Minghao managed a small smile, his fingers tightening around Jun’s. “Okay.”

In the days that followed, the four of them continued their journeys, learning and growing together. Wonwoo and Mingyu’s relationship was far from perfect, but they were rebuilding it with a newfound understanding, a shared promise to never take each other for granted again. Mingyu was patient, letting Wonwoo set the pace, grateful for every moment they shared.

And Jun and Minghao, though still prone to the occasional argument, found strength in their connection. They weren’t rushing toward any grand promises; instead, they were content with the quiet certainty that they were in it together, for as long as they could be.

For each of them, love was no longer a fleeting feeling or a distant dream; it was a choice, a daily commitment to be better, to forgive, and to hold on, even when it hurt. And in that choice, they found hope—hope that maybe, despite everything, they could finally be happy..

" Or maybe destiny is bringing something for them..?"
