The rain beat against the hospital windows, casting shadows across the dim room where Wonwoo lay, eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. He hadn't been able to sleep, not since Mingyu had come in earlier, eyes filled with regret and hands reaching out to him, only to be met with his cold silence he couldn't shake. Everything felt hollow, a void where once there had been warmth and love.
How had they ended up here? It didn't seem possible, yet each time he remembered Mingyu's accusations, the way he'd doubted him without a second thought, the pain flared up, raw and fresh. Wonwoo had always believed that even tough Mingyu is trying to fix their bond , he didn't trust him before but is now trying to get close to him after Leia left him.. Maybe he was just a toy for him to use and throw when a new one comes..
Just as he was lost in thought, the door creaked open. Jun walked in, his face etched with worry. Wonwoo didn't move, but his eyes drifted to his friend, sensing the weight of something unspoken.
Jun pulled a chair to the side of Wonwoo's bed, letting out a sigh. "How are you holding up?" he asked gently.
Wonwoo gave a hollow laugh. "Holding up? Not sure if that's what I'd call it."
Jun studied him quietly before speaking. "Wonwoo, I know what Mingyu did was awful, but... have you tried asking him why he acted the way he did that day?"
"Why should I?" Wonwoo's voice was bitter, tinged with a sorrow he couldn't mask. "It won't change the fact that he didn't believe me when it mattered most. Maybe he is trying but he should have belived me beofre if he actually trusted me..."
Jun hesitated, his hand reaching out to rest on Wonwoo's shoulder. "I know it hurts, but maybe there's more to it. Maybe he's hiding something, something he thought he was protecting you from Leia."
Wonwoo let out a frustrated sigh, the doubt gnawing at him. "If he wanted to protect me, he could have been honest. Instead, he chose to believe her... Leia. He let her come between us, and now he expects me to just forgive him?"
Jun was silent, sensing there was nothing he could say to ease Wonwoo's pain. Instead, he squeezed his shoulder gently. "Sometimes people make mistakes, Wonwoo. But that doesn't mean they don't love you."
Just then, the door creaked open again, and Minghao stepped inside, his expression tense. Wonwoo looked up, but the pain in Minghao's eyes was unmistakable.
Minghao walked over to Jun, his voice barely holding back the tremble. "Jun, I think we need to talk."
Jun's brows furrowed, but he stood up, guiding Minghao to the far side of the room. Their voices were low, almost whispers, but in the stillness, Wonwoo could hear enough to catch the tension between them.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier, Jun.. that you were dating another girl..?" Minghao's voice wavered, a mix of hurt and frustration in his tone.
Jun sighed, looking away. "I didn't want to burden you, Minghao. I thought... I thought if I handled it on my own, you wouldn't have to worry and i was going to break up with her to.."
Minghao's eyes flashed with anger. "But don't you understand? That the number one rule in this relationship is trust !.. how could you break that..!"
Jun swallowed, his gaze dropping. "I thought I was doing the right thing. I didn't realize... I didn't realize how much it would hurt you."
"Cheating is never a right thing... The girl must feel pain that you're cheating on her with me..! What type of man are you!.." Minghao said in anger and disappointed tone..
The silence that followed was thick, filled with emotions neither of them could quite express. Finally, Minghao took a shaky breath, pulling back.
"I just... I don't know if I can trust you if you keep things like this from me, Jun. I don't want us to end up like my parents ..."
Jun's hand reached out, but Minghao stepped back, his expression torn. "I need some space, Jun. I need time to figure out if we can move forward... or if it's better to end things here."With that, Minghao turned, slipping out of the room and leaving Jun staring after him, an ache visible in his eyes.
After a moment, Jun returned to Wonwoo's side, his face shadowed with his own pain now. Wonwoo looked at him, sensing that something had shifted between Jun and Minghao as well.
"Seems like we're all falling apart," Wonwoo murmured.
Jun nodded, his gaze distant. "Maybe, but... sometimes things break before they can be put back together."

The night dragged on, with silence stretching into the early hours of the morning. Wonwoo was almost drifting off when he heard a soft knock at the door. He tensed, knowing immediately who it was. He didn't want to face Mingyu, not now, but the door creaked open, and Mingyu stepped in, his face etched with exhaustion and regret.
"Wonwoo," Mingyu began, his voice barely above a whisper. "I know you probably don't want to hear anything I have to say, but... please, just let me explain."
Wonwoo clenched his fists, his jaw tightening. "Explain what, Mingyu? How you thought so little of me that you believed her over me? How you let someone else tell you what to think about me?"
Mingyu's face fell, his voice breaking. "Wonwoo, it wasn't like that. I... Leia manipulated me. She made me believe that... that you were the one lying to me. I was wrong, I was scared, but I swear, it was never because I didn't love you."
Wonwoo's voice was sharp, cutting through the darkness. "If you loved me, then why didn't you trust me? Why did you believe her so easily?"
Mingyu's shoulders slumped, his gaze falling to the floor. "Because... because I was insecure, because I thought maybe... maybe I didn't deserve you. She knew exactly what to say to make me doubt everything."
A bitter laugh escaped Wonwoo. "So, what? She fed you some lies, and you just decided to throw everything we had away? Just like that?"
"No," Mingyu's voice cracked, a tear slipping down his cheek. "I made a mistake. The worst mistake of my life. But please, Wonwoo... I'm begging you, give me a chance to make it right. I'll do anything."
Wonwoo looked at him, the hurt, anger, and sadness swirling in his eyes. "I don't know if I can forgive you, Mingyu. Not after this."
Mingyu's shoulders shook, his voice barely a whisper. "I understand. But I'm not giving up. I'll be here, for as long as it takes, until you see that I'm willing to do whatever it takes to earn your trust back."
Wonwoo watched him, his heart torn between the love that lingered and the pain that wouldn't leave. He knew it would be a long time before he could look at Mingyu the same way again-if ever.
As Mingyu turned to leave, he paused, glancing back one last time. "I love you, Wonwoo. I always have, and I always will."
Wonwoo said nothing, the silence hanging between them like a thread waiting to snap.
And as Mingyu walked out into the cold, dark hallway, Wonwoo was left with the ache of something lost, and the uncertainty of whether it could ever be found again.

"Sometimes, love isn't about holding on-it's about letting go to see if it finds its way back."*__________________________________________
