Harry's point of view:
As soon as I got to the hospital, I realized I didn't know what to do, I just couldn't control myself. The shocking part was, me and Sophie have been friends for a week, but I genuinely cared for her, and probably would freak out if something happened to her.
I rushed past the gate that read in big red letters EMERGENCIES, and immediately headed towards the desk in the middle of the big room. There was a young looking nurse that had black hair and big brown eyes, and she looked surprised to see me, probably knowing who I was, but I didn't have time for all of this right now, I just needed to find out how Sophie was doing.
After asking what was going on, she told me to calm down and to have a seat, and that Sophie was being rushed into a pretty serious surgery. I tried to breathe in and out, relaxing myself. I was just so overwhelmed with everything that had happened tonight, it was all so fast. I looked at my jacket and looked down at my phone. I couldn't be alone right now, I needed someone to support me. I desperately needed my best friend, so without thinking it twice, I dialed Louis's number. After a couple of rings, he picked up, sounding as cheerful as usual.
"Harold? Where on Earth are you? I am sitting here like an idiot waiting for you to arrive, all of the lads, and
yes, including me, are dying to meet Sophie! Get your arse here right now!" He practically screamed at me.
"Lou- I need you to come to the London Bridge Hospital right now, Sophie has been on an accident." I told him, trying to hold back tears.
"What? Aw man, I'm so sorry, I'm on my way there right now." Louis answered, not even hesitating about it.
Just after we hanged up, the nice nurse came up to me, telling me that Sophie's surgery was doing fine, but that she had a broken arm and that she would have to stay in the hospital for the following week. I was so relieved right now, she was going to be fine.
Soon after the nurse told me that, a woman entered frantically the room, and started talking desperately to the nurse, asking her something. The nurse seemed to tell her something that calmed her down, and surprisingly, she gestured to me, and the woman walked over to where I was sitting.
"Oh my goodness, are you Harry?" She said to me crying.
"Uh, yes, hi." I said to her and held out my hand to shake it, but instead she hugged me tightly.
"I can't believe this happened, thank you for staying here, I'm Carol, Sophie's aunt, I really appreciate yo staying here, I know how busy you are, but you can go now." She told me while she wiped the tears of her face.
"What? O no no I'm going to stay here, to see how Sophie's doing, I want to be with her when she wakes up." I told her, and it was like I sort of passed a test, because she nodded and smiled approvingly at me. After that, she patted my arm and told me she needed to go fill out some forms.
I stood up, planning on going to a vending machine to see if I could get some coffee or something to eat, and as I passed the front door, Louis entered, and as soon as he saw me, he walked over to me and hugged me tightly.
He probably saw how bad I looked, but I didn't care, it was Louis after all.
"Mate are you all right? I'm so sorry I came here as fast as I could." He told me.
"Yeah, Sophie's coming out of surgery in about 30 minutes, I just needed someone to talk to you know? Thank you for being here man." I answered him.
"Sure no problem, but Harry, she's going to be alright, don't worry, it was just quite a scare." He smiled reassuringly.
"Now tell me."He continued, as he gestured for us to sit down again "How was the night before err.. you know..."
"Man, you wouldn't believe what happened." So I told him everything with Taylor, the concert, and then how I saw Sophie lying on the street.
After I was done, he looked a bit shocked, but told me that from now on, I needed to handle things more carefully in the whole girl area.
A few minutes passed and we just talked and talked, and after 10 minutes I stood up and told him that I was going to the nearest shop I could find to buy Sophie something ( I don't know like chocolates or a teddy bear) What can I say? I am a nice guy! Louis just smiled at me and told me that he would stay here in case there were any changes. I thanked him and head towards the door. Man, he really was the best friend anyone could have. I was so exited for him to meet Sophie tonight, I really think she and I could be more than friends. I would never play with her, she is way too special and diffrent than everyone else for that. I just hope she forgives me for the whole Taylor incident, because even though two days ago I wasn't sure how I felt about the whole breakup thing, after meeting Sophie and having a great time with her, I was sure I did'nt want to be with Taylor, I wanted to be with Sophie.
*Louis's Point of View:
Aw man, I felt so bad for Harry, after everything that happened with Taylor at the concert, now he had to go through all of this. I never even liked Taylor in the first place, she was just too overly attached, but from what I had heard of Sophie, she was very nice, though I have to admit, I really hope Harry was not just playing with her, as he had done with other girls in the past, because that would really piss me off, he really needed to grow up some times with girls and stop using them as just fun.
A doctor shook me out of my thoughts, and told me:
"Excuse me, your girlfriend is now awake and in her room, the surgery went fine, but she is very weak and needs a lot of rest. Visiting hours end in 15 minutes, so I recommend you go inside right now, since her Aunt already saw her and went down to the cafeteria, you are the only one left to visit her today before the nurses come and attend her."
I just nodded, but wait a minute did he say girlfriend? Damn he probably thought I was Harry, although he isn't her boyfriend either. I should call him and let him know that he should come back tomorrow, since he was not going to make it on time, but again, the impatient doctor interrupted my mind, saying:
"Well young man are you coming in or not? Because if you aren't I'm calling the nurses."
Now I don't even know why, but I stood up and went inside the room, not knowing what the hell had I just done.
When I entered, the expensive looking hospital room, I couldn't believe my eyes, in the small bed, there was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. Even with no makeup on, and with a few scratches on her face, she looked flawless, she was so natural, so real. So very different from everything I have ever known.
But.. hold on.
I have a girlfriend, Eleanor, and I love her. She is just a VERY pretty girl Louis, yes, just a nice looking girl.
She is not my girl, she is Harry's.
Oh oh... so what are these feelings I'm feeling right now?
All of a sudden, she opened her big brown eyes and looked at me, and that was the moment I knew,
That this girl was very special, though I had no right at all to think like that...
