The sun had set, leaving the city bathed in the cool glow of streetlights. The air was filled with the distant murmur of cars and the occasional siren. Uraraka looked around, her senses heightened. Where would he go?
He wouldn't just disappear without a trace. Her gaze fell on a piece of paper fluttering in the breeze. She picked it up, her eyes widening as she recognized the hastily scribbled handwriting. It was a note from Midoriya. "Find me," it read, "if you still believe in heroes."
Her heart skipped a beat. This was her chance to make things right. Her eyes scanned the note for any clue. There was an address, scribbled hastily in the corner. It was a part of town she didn't know well, but she wasn't going to let that stop her.
Uraraka took a deep breath, her determination setting in. She had to find Deku. The buildings grew taller and the lights grew dimmer as she ventured into the city. The shadows danced and whispered secrets as she walked, her footsteps echoing through the empty streets.
The closer she got to the address, the more her palms began to sweat. Finally, she arrived at a nondescript alleyway. The silence was deafening, the tension palpable. Uraraka took a tentative step forward, her eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of movement. And then she heard it: the sound of metal scraping against concrete.
She quickened her pace, her heart racing. The alley grew narrower, the smell of damp brick and trash thick in the air. And there he was, in the dim light of a solitary streetlamp: Midoriya, dressed in a makeshift costume, his eyes filled with a fierce resolve she hadn't seen before.
