Chapter 2
Bonnie
Floor 4
She didn't get Shrimpo. She didn't get him at all. She and Goob had saved one of his hearts! Would it kill him to say "thanks" every now and then? She was happily chatting with Goob as everyone walked out of the elevator.
"What'd you talk to Vee about? Goob asked, making conversation.
"Oh, did you know she gets electrocuted whenever she's near water?? That's a major health concern if she's fighting someone on a beach." Bonnie explained.
"Why would that even hap- Y'know forget it! I'm just gonna find a twisted to distract!" Goob says, dashing away.
Bonnie shrugs, walking over to a nearby machine. She sees Ziggy hanging out nearby Ruby, who's doing the machine.
"Oh hello Bonnie!" Ruby greeted her.
"Heyy. I heard about you and Goob saving Shrimpo or something. How'd that go?" Ziggy asked.
"Ehh. He was running away from a twisted, and I scared it and Goob pulled him away." Bonnie explained.
"Can you tell Goob to stop hogging the twisteds? Not much for another distractor to to now." Ziggy said, annoyed.
"Sure." Bonnie shrugged. At that moment, Ruby finished up the machine.
"Maybe I'll find him now." Bonnie decided.
"Bye!" Ruby said.
Bonnie, Ziggy, and Ruby went their separate ways. Bonnie walked through the diner the crew had found themself in. Suddenly, she saw Goob, followed by a twisted Tisha and Boxten.
Hey!! How's it going??" Goob said, still being chased.
"Pretty good." Bonnie grinned.
Goob went back to running, and Bonnie decided to walk the other way in case a twisted noticed her. Bonnie took one more look at Goob, when without warning, he tripped, letting out a loud yelp before falling on the ground. "BONN-!" Goob was cut off when Tisha nailed him down and unhinged her jaw.
Bonnie rushed forward, not knowing what she was even going to do, but it was too late. "GOOB!" Bonnie tried to grab her friend, but it was too late.
Twisted Tisha sunk her teeth into Goob's fur, the sickening smell of ichor filling Bonnie's nostrils. "YOU WANNA FIGHT?" She screamed louder than needed, the twisteds quickly backing away from her.
"Goob..." Bonnie said, her voice breaking from the strain of yelling. The once-soft fur of the toon was now matted in dark ichor, his cheerful eyes dull, reflecting the posters on the wall next to him. His arm was bent at a weird angle, he probably broke it during the fall.
Bonnie wouldn't normally have the strength to carry the older toon, but she was able to sling him over her shoulder and slowly and painfully brought his broken body back to the elevator, before laying him down gently and leaned against the wall and tried not to cry.
Oh god.. I can't believe he's dead.
I can't cry. My favorite game show host is here.
I can't cry. My enemy is here.
I can't cry. The gossiper Glisten is here. He'll tell everyone.
Boxing champions don't cry.
Older sisters don't cry.
No one cries in front of their favorite celebrity.
No one cries in front of someone they love? Hate?
She wasn't sure. She wasn't sure about anything anymore. She just leaned against the wall and fought back tears.
Shrimpo: three hearts
Bonnie: three hearts
Goob: dead
Ziggy: two hearts
Ruby: two hearts
Vee: two hearts
Glisten: three hearts
