When you first started writing Teen Wolf, were you confident with your writing at first?

No way. Not at all. My first fanfiction for Teen Wolf was actually horrifying. There were tons of spelling and grammar mistakes, and overall the plots were just messy. Even with Walls, which I forced myself to leave posted, many people have commented and pointed out certain details that I now see were very far from what actually happened in the show. My writing was absolutely nothing like it is now, and honestly I'm not sure how I managed to improve over the course of a year. I'm still not confident in my writing, but I hope I'll get to the point where I can say that I am soon.

What is your favorite character that you've created and why?

Definitely Lena. Her role as a somewhat-Oni, although it's admittedly not very important in 3A, is put into perspective in 3B, and I've never gotten the chance to write anything like that before. I've made it so that her character can continue for as long as I want to keep writing her, and her plot definitely goes past how Jeff perceived the Oni (including their timeline within the show). I think Lena is the only character that I've stuck with for over ten chapters and genuinely loved to write. You guys will get a chance to see that she can't stay in control forever, even with Scott's help, and that's one of my favorite things about Lena. She can be really evil sometimes, and I've always been more interested as to how the villains see things, rather than the heroes. But, she also has small moments in which she's heartbroken in spite of her will not to feel anything at all. Lena has the most dimension out of all the characters I've ever created and, for that reason, she's definitely my favorite.

How did you first find out about wattpad and why did you choose to write your own fanfiction?

Wattpad was first introduced to me by Sam, loseyourdnim , who's a very close friend of mine outside of Wattpad. She was also the person to introduce me to Teen Wolf. Originally, I was one of those accounts that didn't vote, comment, or follow. I just read, mainly the BoU series, Sage, and NESB. But at the time I was also really young, so I was extremely shy and hardly even knew how to work the message boards. I started writing my own fanfiction during the first few weeks of Teen Wolf season four, because I fell for Liam and thought that, if all of these people can do it, can't I, too? And then it all just went from there.

Who inspires you to write?

On Wattpad, it's definitely my friends and readers. The "update" comments aren't at all what I'm talking about, but rather the absolutely wonderful feedback I get on my chapters/works. Hearing back from you guys literally makes my day so, so much better; and it definitely puts a little spring to my step when I know that people are enjoying what I spend hours at a time working on. It all makes writing so much more enjoyable. And my friends (they know who they are) are honestly the best group of people anyone could ever manage to find... even when they're threatening my existence. Reading (literally anything by anyone) also gets me inspired to write, especially if I'm annoyed with the episode I'm on or just annoyed with my writing in general. My mom is also a huge supporter of mine when it comes to writing, but she's more interested in my original works. So, there are definitely a lot of different people I think of when it comes to my inspiration.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

When it comes to this site, the fact that people are so quick to judge others really bothers me. We all come here to write about a group of teenagers who literally find themselves in harm's way every Monday night, so why do some people feel the need to judge others in the process? I've witnessed firsthand that people on here aren't always honest, and sometimes they even do things that are extremely frowned upon. But what really bothers me is that some anonymous people like to come at certain individuals for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Then there's the fact that they don't even show their name. If you don't know the person, and you only see their actions through a screen, you can't judge them. But if you guys were talking about pet peeves in general, it's definitely slow walkers in the school hallways.

What is your favorite BROTP and OTP that you've created?

My favorite BROTP would no doubt be Stiles and Lena. In season 3A, it's clear that their friendship is based off of sarcasm and the occasional jab at one another, but as 3B gets closer they start to gravitate towards each other (not in a romantic way, though). With the Nogitsune playing the role as a common threat to both Lena and Stiles, you'll see that as Scena hits a few roadblocks, Lena's friendship with Stiles grows based on the fact that they're both being placed in situations that they can't help stop or prevent, because they're not themselves anymore.

As far as OTPs go, Starmen is definitely one that I'm learning to love. I know I'm only, like, three chapters in when it comes to talking about Bleeding Hearts, but I know what's going to happen throughout every season that I'll write Carmen into. I chose Starmen over Scena for the sole reason that (mini spoiler alert) they don't need to say it out loud for the other to know that the feelings are mutual. Their love has always been there, but in Bleeding Hearts, you won't get a confession from Carmen or Stiles. There's also the fact that they're literally the cutest ship I've ever written.

thank you so much to ryan for giving us the pleasure of having this interview with her, it was fantastic!
